    @Radiance Horizon has aspect ratios natively within the game from the in-game settings, DOA6 though doesn't remove the black sides and pillar boxes from initial release unfortunately, so it was definitely a mod / edited executable I had to do:

    The interesting bit to me about the Tekken 8 situation is that no matter what, you'll always find people that state they now officially hate the game but yet will still play it every day.

    It was the same case with DOA6. People state they hated that game but yet I see them on that game every day lol.

    This is why you don't put all your eggs in one basket, cause when those eggs go rotten, your ass just gotta sit there and endure the smell, whether you like it or not

    that said, I can almost respect players who play a shit game and acknowledge that it's shit, it's better than players who play a shit game but use Jedi mind tricks to convinces themselves that it's not

    Yeah, for sure, even for aggressive game standards I think that Tekken 8 went just a little bit further beyond. Playing a game in that state on a daily basis is unhealthy longterm, heck, imo playing fighting games for more than 4-5 hours can end up becoming quite the mental exercise, can't imagine doing that every single day.

    my only complaint is that we now 3 characters in Rivals who's defaults looks very identical (Emma Frost, Sue Storm,Dagger) which makes telling them apart in the heat of battle quite annoying, you think that's a support char you're looking and NOPE it's a duelist and you just get bodied in the 1v1

    Social media Twitter timeline was flooded with Tekken posts of depression lol. Maybe VF will get other 3D fighters back on track. Soul Calibur is dormant (?), DOA6 pulled the cord, and potentially Tekken might get hit with it.

    VF might be the only one wake them all up in the future hopefully. Well, least I hope.

    It's cool that Fatal Fury is still adding Ken and Chun-li. Fighting Game guests fits the most and super glad it's welcomed from majority.

    However, Ronaldo and Salvatore Ganacci (IRL guests) are bad prime examples of opening the door to just anyone preventing good guest entries from coming in (or originals), and entries like these are used as ammunition as to why guests can be bad.

    Think also Ronaldo was made canon in the game's story. Its also funny that we went from possibly the biggest guest character in the history of fighting games to "apparently he's a European DJ but still.....who.....(checks more info) wait, he's that handstanding guy from that iirc extremely bad music festival?".

    What sort of bums me about these guests is that these not only take slots away from the actual IP's characters but also from video game characters as well, MK could have so many sick videogame character guests but they just don't since WB is WB (and I guess Ed Boon said himself that he wanted some of these movie characters in MK for a long time? might be wrong on this).

    @Camel with 2 thumbs Probably just one. I have two ultrawides (a 21:9 and a 32:9) but currently only using one.

    21:9 (3440 x 1440)
    32:9 (5240 x 1440)

    The image up top is a 21:9. I'd use the 32:9, but it becomes resource resolution heavy with some games so the 32:9 ended up in storage closet.

    3D fighters usually has these types of players in their communities in the form of social media like Twitter/X, forums, or Discord:

    Tekken players: Every other 3D fighter is bad, except mines.

    VF players: Every other 3D fighter is bad, except mines.

    DOA players: Every other 3D fighter is bad, except mines.

    They're all wrong since Twitter/Facebook/99.9% of x social media is the best fighting game on the market right now. With DOA players it is that way but for circa half of the playerbase they'd add "Except the last entry, that game is garbage" and with SC it would be like "Wish people would play our game more and for 6 to have rollback and wish Namco would support the series more".

    I thought at least many/most DOA fans had respect for VF, that's the only instance of one fandom being positive about another series that I've seen lol.

    In other words 3D Fighting Game Communities adopted the same mentality of Console Fanboys where they believe their game is better and others bad, along with defend their games bad business practice or blame other games for their favorite games recent title failures (like VF fans blame Tekken & DOA on why VF5: Final Showdown didn't sell well, or Tekken fans blame DOA for why TTT2 didn't sell well)

    After 70+ hours of AC: Shadows, I can safely say from two different lenses that it's both the best & worst Assassin's Creed made to date.

    There are some good small elements that are improved compared to the other games, but the drawback was that most of the good elements were added to probably the most controversial game they've ever made.

    I had a early copy of the game from Ubisoft's referral program where you get to play the game early (had it for a week and a half) up until release date, and then the game deactivates on console or PC under your account. Reviewers and Sponsors get to keep the game iirc, though since i'm neither of those two eventually I bought it and loaded up the previous save from my playthrough and just kept playing from there.

    Sadly, that is the truth, and Nintendo takes it next level. I really despise the business they've become on many levels. Not just their practice in court, but with how they treat their customers. Their outdated hardware: I can't think of one appealing thing surrounding Nintendo. I wanted MP4 forever, but they bring it back looking like Hunters on the DS.

    Pretty insane that GTA6 might actually be priced $80-100 default from all these dev interviews I see here and there when it drops (if it's true that is since they themselves are not entirely sure).

    If it is true, that game better blow out every game in the market to justify the price.

    You know, him going about Tekken Ball as an extra game mode within the fighting game and comparing it to the Xtreme series makes me think that the minigames/volleyball would've actually made for great extra modes within the DOA games instead of them being made into a separate game, its not like they didn't do something like that with a Ninja Gaiden game where the whole NES trilogy can be played.

    I remember in an interview around the time, Itagaki had even said that XBV was pretty much DOA's answer to Tekken Ball Mode, I think it was even gonna be a mode rather than its own game, but ironically he decided to make it a whole game to keep the sexiest DOA ideas separated from the main series....

    at least if it was a mode we'd have seen the guys getting in on the fun, including Gen Fu XD

    Now I'm feeling nostalgic for Itagaki-era DOA. It was cool how DOA & Tekken both pushed each other to further each other's 3D Fighter brands during the Itagaki-DOA era. Although I'm more a fan of DOA5-esque gameplay, DOA was hype from DOA2 (Millenium) to DOA4. Major props to Harada for sharing this!
