Yeah, you have to join the game first, which means you can't form a tag team unless the host sends everyone back to the lobby. Also I think that if the player you want to tag up with is in their own pause menu, it doesn't let you form a tag team.

Part of the reason that I stopped playing DOAD immediately was because of the Hayabusa/Genra projectile spammers. DOA isn't supposed to have projectile attacks. Tacking them on like that, and then not adding a way to avoid them was a terrible idea. I main Tengu, who got his DOAU ranged attack...

Yeah, even Ein/Hitomi and Leon/Bayman are different enough that I wouldn't call them clones. Semi-clones somewhat, but not true clones.

A true clone, through and through, would be more along the lines of Captain Falcon and Ganondorf in Super Smash Bros. Melee. What you're describing isn't really a clone, but I'm not sure what word to use for it.
