In my experience, Ayane has always been extremely popular. Online in DOA4, all you ever see are the ninjas. I'm pretty sure that all of the ninjas are considered very easy to use too, though I could be wrong.

Well part of the reason that I do it, is for variety. It gets very stale seeing the same high tier characters all the time, and never seeing the low tier ones. I like to mix it up, and give the bad characters some... attention, if you will. Plus it's much more satisfying to win with Tengu, than...

Agreed. Tekken may have beaten DOA in swimsuit quantity, but DOA has swimsuit quality. The Tekken characters don't look good in their bikinis at all.
