True, but Hitomi's throw resets are more braindead, especially online.
Hitomi online is such a bitch. She can abuse lag like no other character. PPP spammers too... I just don't like going online too much anymore. CPU on Legend mode can sometimes be better than real people now. Though, I love holding 1PP spamming Kasumis and 66KKK spamming Ayanes.
True, but reset throws from strike strings should never be underestimated.

When used properly, Kokoro can essentially keep attacking almost indefinitely thanks to her string-grabs and she indeed does do a lot more damage than Kasumi does (unless Kas can get a huge launch on her). Kasumi's reset grab is pretty lol, but it's still technically a reset grab. The thing about Hitomi, is that if you can keep her from abusing her 6T or her variations on the 2H+K low, she can be very manageable. It also helps that Kas is alot faster than her too.

That's because scrubs like to gravitate towards characters that can give them easy wins online. Panic holding is an unfortunate side effect of scrubs. I personally think TN making Hitomi free is a dumbass move. Why can't they make Zack, Bass, Eliot, Bayman, or Pai free for example? Instead they make Kasumi, Ayane, Hayabusa, Hayate and now Hitomi free this month (on top of the VF's until next week). Those are 5 characters that are a nuisance to fight online (well Kasumi isn't that bad if they aren't lag-mashing). I would have no problem buying Ayane immediately if it meant the scrubs would have to pay for her too. When you pay for a character, you actually make a concerted effort to try and learn them properly. When they're free, you don't give a shit.
I agree, but Ayane literally laughs at people that spam the tank roll or jakheiho stances (4P and 1P alldayerryday). Tank roll can be low thrown on both the roll and the OH for HiC damage. I'm just interested in character variety and TN dropped the ball on that with CF. Almost everyone's Top 5 list has 2 or more ninjas in it (I'm sure some would have all 5 in them!). Tina would've been a fantastic choice for 1 of the free characters (I would've went with Kasumi, Zack, Tina and Bayman).
I'm glad that they didn't make Momiji free, though I still run into her ass as if she were...

They should make Pai free. I understand she has advantages and all that but you really cant spam and get away with it with her, you just cant. Momiji on the other hand, you can spam and get away with it with her. And top 5s in my top 5s I only have kasumi and ayane only for the ninjas. But my top 5 is: Kasumi, Ayane, Gen fu, Sarah, and Christie.
But i think characters thats a better choice to be free are Bayman, Pai, Akira (lets see them try to spam with him) and Leifang.

. Akira is way too difficult to use for beginners. They wouldn't have a clue how to use him. As dangerous as she is, I actually enjoy fighting Pai because she continuously keeps you on your toes with her near endless stun-mix-up options. If you lose to a Pai you were outplayed or just completely oblivious to what she was doing. Can't really say the same for Momiji, but to be fair, she's nowhere near overpowered. Lol, I dunno where you are encountering these GenFu's but I am thankful that the scrubs don't realize how ridiculous he is. He's one character that I am both glad isn't free and isn't popular. LeiFang would've also been a fantastic choice for one of the free CF's.

Ayane laughs at the tankroll? Ryu has a low throw Izuna. Spam a tank roll, eat 120 guaranteed damage+environmental hazards. Like a bawz.
1) Most randoms I happen to encounter are, but I usually play with people that I know, however, so not really.
2) Ranks are meaningless.
