She looks better than I expected, but I'm still disappointed. It's another clone, but more than that, it's another move thief that people are giving a pass because of a 5-thousand teleports per-second "bonus."

In regard to just-frames, I suspect they'll be like Kasumi's. In DOA people toss around "just-frame" pretty liberally for some reason. For example, the Shoho is is a "just frame." It isn't. And I don't suspect Phase 4's will be either.

But teleports and shit will hopefully draw some attention to the character so people will play her. 'Cause otherwise it'll be 100% Marie Rose from here on out. Maybe when Phase 4 gets released it'll be 50% Marie Rose and 50% Phase 4.

i don't see why people keep saying this they'll get played heavily for bout a week then over time people will drop them or keep them either way it will balance out and a fraction of the original people "maining" will be whats left

unnecessarily difficult moves like the Rajin take the focus away from the strategy and puts an unnecessary barrier between a player and what they want the character to do.

That's an excuse to not play a character and like I stated "being lazy" lol. You put the time and effort in, you get results which I think is what Team Ninja understood and why they brought the animation back as well as kept the simple version for players who couldn't do raijin. The downside was, doing the simple version meant less damage.

OMG if they've broken Mila's P+K into Mount off juggle I'm gonna throw a table.
nonono タックルフェイク中にP+K:カウンターヒット以上のやられを、腹崩れに変更。refers to tackle feint P+K being changed on counter hit, not regular P+K

they brought it back because people were complaining that they ended up wasting their time learning that move and honestly they still did when do you ever see someone use it? you're more likley to drop it than anything and it does "meh" damage. its a waste of time and everyone knows it

.

i run into momiji and rachel about as much as any other character. you're basically stating that's all you fight and im calling BS

They came out at a time when 5 new characters were released simultaneously. Releasing characters one-by-one is going to have a very different effect.

60% of all my fights are still solely Ayane, currently.

when do you ever see someone use it?

I think the proper question is when do you ever see someone play Hayate? Since I usually play on PSN where it's filled with core fighter scrubs who come from FPS, or new to DOA in general i'm less worried about someone trying to do Raijin. On XBL there are only a handful of ppl who play Hayate. I can probably count them on one hand.

im well aware that no one plays Hayate and the few who do aren't using the Rajin because its more risk than reward.

I fight Hayate more than the average man because for some FUCKING REASON everyone wants to do Hayate vs Hayabusa.

I am so done with that match-up. If I ever have to play it again, it will be too soon.

In other news, some people do do the Raijin. Crazysteady was pulling it off consistently in actual matches with about 80% success rate, for example.

What? That's the only change Ein got? I hope whatever they're doing to 6H+KKK is good because I think this move is useless. I don't even know what the google translation is saying for Momiji's changes...
It looks like Kokoro's SS P stun's on NH again though, so that's good.

And, Phase 4 looks cool. I'll most likely use her with the Kasumi @ costume.

1) Low tier characters have the advantage of providing uninformed MUs to many tournament players, since they are not used to fighting low tiers as much, especially at high-level.
2) Who cares? Sorwah plays a low tier character. I'm still gay for Hayabusa. Not everyone in the tournament scene is a tier whore. Sometimes you legitimately want to pick a character who isn't top tier, and it doesn't have to be to "show off."
3) Even if that was the case, so what? Red herring. Still proves that with enough practice/dedication, you can add difficult moves such as the Raijin to your play-by-play arsenal. Akira players probably find the idea of "a move too difficult to integrate into your gameplan" hilarious. 1 frame knee, GBoD... all great tools that an Akira master has to master.

Execution is pretty lax in general for DOA, so I doubt those P4 moves are actual hard to do. I can't think of anything in the game that actually requires more than half an hour of practice, timing wise. Raijin is effort, but that's more of an accuracy thing.

What did they do to Ein? Better not be another nerf.

In terms of P4 playable difficulty curve, I bet she will be harder for a DoA character in general, but if you played higher execution characters in general before then she won't be nearly as hard to utilize.

the difference being the 1 frame knee actually has a use that makes it worth learning the Rajin on the other hand is a shiteir izuna.
to play Hayabusa you HAVE to know how to do the Izunas
to play Akira you HAVE to know the 1 frame knee
to play Eliot you HAVE to know the Choryus

no one has ever said you need to know the Rajin because there are better options, its practically a novelty move.
