Anime style does not translate well to DOA5's aesthetic with its more detailed designs and realistic head-to-body proportions. Except for Honoka (bc she's barely wearing anything) these all look thick, even Kasumi's thanks to the side ponytail. I think I'd like hers if you could pick the blue ribbon ponytail with it but I'm guessing this one will have a locked hairstyle.

That's what I was thinking. Ugly ear/tail models aside, why is it so BULKY?! it looks like really thin material in the original art.


but as you said, the anime styles never translate well into doa.

I have the suspicion DOA's artstyle will revert to an anime inspired look in DOA6. That way they can sell their animu DLC even better. That' all DOA5 seems to be about in the last couple of years and what makes them the most cash.

I HOPE it does. The old art style looked LEAGUES better. It "popped" more, yaknow? Brighter, more vibrant colors. Anyone else remember when Kasumi was a redhead?!

It probably wont return its original Anime mode, but what they may do is give the colours, the overall tone and mood for the new game that "pop". Eyes may become bigger in the process xD

If X3 is anything to go by I think they'll overdo it with the colors and contrast in DOA6

I hope they bring ass and thigh jiggle too, even if it's costume specific. I wanna make some rears jiggle helplessly with Kasumi's ground 2P...hahhhh!! ♡o♡ But anyways before I blow a gasket, brighter colors would be great with costumes and stages, although I honestly like the gritty pallette in stages like Hot Zone and Rapids, those are scenery porn in my eyes since they're amongst the more serious stages.

And yeah Argentus, and when she actually had waist length thick hair that I'd always wear opt for instead of her ponytail. XD They overdid the realistic look in a lot of aspects.

I just hope they find a perfect balance between the two because It's been said before but a few stages in doa5 were going for that realistic side of things and are a bit dull so they could make the stages more colourful. On the flip side though the character models look so much better now than they did before. I'm actually shocked people want them to go back to that! The characters had like no skin detail etc back then.

It will be interesting what they do with the art style in doa6 but I'm hoping it keeps the overall type of one it has now because the characters look great in it.

Kasumi looks awesome in this outfit from what I can see <3! (But of course the costume will be a fail if no high heels -@KasumiLover69 logic =P).

Definitely considering picking this up! Not really feeling the other potential designs though. Like has been implied, this pack will be an unfortunate case of AquaPlus' super anime style not translating into DOA5's aesthetic. Also, LOL, should've figured that Honkers would get the stripper outfit.

I swore they were going to give that outfit to Rachel, was surprised to see it on Honoka. I suppose it's already similar enough to a few things Rachel's gotten tho but of course they had to give one of the bustiest characters with the 'mature woman body template' an already thick outfit which just makes it look even thicker. Like Kokoro's looks okay but Rachel's looks straight up bad

This new set is the most hit or miss pack yet... I liked Kasumi's, Honoka's, and Kokoro's, but not a fan of Rachel's, Nyotengu's, or whatever guy that they just tweeted... :/
