-Hayate was in a coma from being nearly killed by an energy blast from one of the strongest ninjas in their village. Getting captured while you're comatose doesn't take away points from masculinity.

-I'll give you those outfits. But he's also worn Black Trenchcoats, Bluejean vests and pants, Badass Ninja suits without flower patterns on them and business suits with CAPES. He's definitely had some outfits that take away from his masculinity but he definitely got some points with his good outfits too.

- Hayate never boned Hitomi, but who said anything about Ein? :cool:

It's not a matter of "not overly masculine", its that they go in the COMPLETE other direction. Elliot is...kind of a nancy boy, while Ein is more like Freddy Mercury.

Some of his outfits are less than masculine, never did I get a stripper/gay vibe from Ein.

A no nonsense Karate fighter/instructor who enjoys combat and trying to get his memory back is fine as a personality, it's basically no different from Rig's fake amnesiac persona.

If personality has anything to do with being effeminate, Ein's does nothing to suggest that.

Ein's not really effeminate. He just has poor fashion sense at times. But so do all of the "masculine" characters in DOA. I mean jesus, half the time Bass is dressed like a male stripper.

Well that's not fair, he's a wrestler. That's inherently homoerotic undertones right there.

But Ein has the most consistently poor fashion sense, combined with his natural pretty boy looks, which is where the claims of effeminate nature come from.

Bottom line, he'd just look like a stripper in a Spartan outfit.

You are taking this WAAAYYY too seriously. Just poking fun at the pretty boy trying to be manly enough to take the spartan outfit away from the manliest guy in the series.

It wasn't really you. Dontforkwithme effectively said he was the 2nd least masculine character in the series which is complete and utter bull. You saying he looked like a chippendales dancer and comparing him to Freddy Mercury was just the icing on the cake.

And if that was your reasoning it was pretty pointless. If Ein was getting Spartan gear, it would be part of some type of Midevil costume set that Leon would more than likely be getting as well. Even then he wouldn't really need it since he already has gold and silver armor of his own.

Point stands that Leon's sheer manliness in spartan gear would just totally overshadow Ein trying to do the same, making him look like an effeminate stripper in comparison.

...What the f-... OH! Tch, see, if you said this was just indirectly praising Leon I would have left it alone. Yeah, Leon's the pinnacle of manliness. Even I'll admit that much.

Still, saying character A shouldn't get an outfit because character B would look more manly in it is a pretty nonsensical thing to say. Got a little touchy cause it was Ein though lol.

Alright, I'm done with that. Since the subject was Leon I guess I can touch on what costumes I think he should get back.

DOA2/U C2: Pretty Iconic outfit for him I think. Not quite as Iconic as his DOA3 C2, but it was always my first choice in DOA2 and it's a nice variant to his C1.

DOA2/U C7 / DOAD C3: Favorite color bias wins the day here. I prefer his Black Shirt/White Pants version to his Red Shirt/Black Pants. Gives off a less playboy mansion owner feel and isn't too similar to his DOA3 C2 in color scheme.

DOA3 C4: Always preferred the gold to the silver. If he gets this outfit back I'd like it to be the gold one. Or at least add the gold version in as a "Press X" alt.

I was on the fence with his Red Trench coat from DOA2/U and his Rambo outfit from 2U and D. I can probably live without those honestly.

She most likely has hispanic heritige just because she's black doesn't mean she can't have spanish/mexican blood in her, plus there's also the fact she's a lighter tone than say Zack which say she probably has for e.g. a black mother and a mexican father or vice versa in either way she likes to pay respect to her heritige in the form of La Mariposa and uses Lucha mixed with capoeira as icing on the cake.

I'd like Ein to have his DoAD C1 and DoA4 C2(btw that's chain not mesh) they're some of his best costumes IMO

Weird. Aside from the three outfits Leon's already got confirmed (the three I wanted most, whoop!), the ones I want in order would be:

-Red trenchcoat
-Red disco shirt
-Black disco shirt
-White Arabian outfit
-Nothing (as in no costume, not "I'm naked!")
-Gladiator armor
