Want to know what else is a dick move? Wasting people's time by asking for help, but doing nothing to improve. Like a lot of players I'm assuming. Plus, "l2p", How do you think people of the upper echelon got to that level? They decided one day: "Hmmmm, let me see for myself how this and this works"
I'm saying why get mad at me for being on my phone while I wait for combos to end?"There is no salt and we can't play."

"That pissed me off."
"Its a dick move, and that's why I get irritated."
"that's what pisses me off"

Unless you're being hit by a one-touch-kill-combo (are those even common in DOA5U?), you have no excuse to give up. Even in the case of such combo, you should be ready to react in case the opponent does an execution mistake.
Don't like combos in DOA? Stay away from tag team mode. Don't like combos in videogames? Stay away from fighting games because you know, they happen to have combos. And no caprice will ever force another player to change how he plays just to please you.
Like @Russian-chiropractic19 said, DOA players have it easy with combo breakers during stun status so I don't really see where the complaints come from. I would understand the butthurt in a game like MvC2, but DOA which gets trash talked for boobs and holds during stun? The fuck?

You can't blame the other player for locking you out of what it is you're trying to do, Argentus. That's the entire point of the game.
When that starts happening you're expected to change what you're doing so it doesn't happen. If you can't do that then there is a clear difference in either skill level, knowledge, or toolset.
In the case of knowledge, keep replays of your defeats to break down what is beating you and why. Look for the moment you start losing. Ask questions. Go into training mode with the other character and pick apart certain moves capabilities.
In the case of toolset, you might just be in a really shitty counter-matchup. The game has a couple of those but no fight is impossible. Bass vs Sarah is probably the most one sided matchup, but that's about it.
In the case of skill level... well, play more and keep recording those losses. Skill level improves gradually with knowledge and practice.
Please. The kitchen is right next to the couch.even tekken combos arent long enough for you to make a bowl of cereal and come back to the game in time. you're not helpless you're lazy.

Didn't know my name was being brought up in this thread.I'm saying why get mad at me for being on my phone while I wait for combos to end?
Lol. Yeah sure, let's see what works....oh right nothing does because I'm stunned or in the air.
I understand all that. Hell I have a few uploaded on Facebook that are losses. Its not an issue of know how, its when I'm completely helpless, then the opponent gets mad at me for being helpless. What the hells the logic in that? Like Helena's old blender or Tinas hard knockdowns, there's little else I can do besides go "...welp."
Or when going up against awesmic. I can get lucky and win sometimes but I've basically given up entirely going against his Christie...
You'd think so but its less hatemail to just wait it out lol.You are disrespectful if you just leave your character standing there. Quit the game if you think you can't do anything, or try to fight back. A match should be played till the end imho. I wouldn't like my enemies to just afk, and I wouldn't do it either. I'd rather quit then
I think its amusing that you think someone has a "head on their shoulders" only if they agree with you. Everyone else is just wrong in your eyes. If you plan to continue posting on a public forum, try to at least understand facts and opinions are NOT the same thing. Im not saying you have to agree with everyone, stay strong to you opinions, I have always belived that, but if someone disagrees with you... they are not undisputedly wrong. Its nice to see the rarity that is someone else with a head on their shoulders.
Honestly its mostly just amusing to me.This entire thread is pretty funny. Also it's the main reason most people never get above this level of gameplay.
Then they just quit.![]()
Idk how the counter system is forgiving at all goddamn. I do have to agree with Argentus tho because a lot of the time i'll just be in a really good lobby and don't want to leave in case it gets full. Maybe someone else will beat him and I get another try.
Yet if their opponent is clearly struggling and not understanding how to deal with something well then tough shit they just continue rushing a punching bag instead of helping them, yet that's not disrespectful?
I never go afk in games, I won't play a game if I don't have time to finish it, I won't leave if its not going my way. I don't know what you are reading but NO ONE said that! Judging by everything you say its like you just have your own rules, and you can change them as you see fit.Everyone's opinion is essentially "if you do it to me that's disrespectful, but if I do it to you that's fine".
How they should help, not playing at their best for giving you a chance? At the most they could accept to not play with their main in the next fights (of course after to end that one with both you and them playing until the very end), but if you want their help, and you are interested to play, you have to ask them this after the matches: "Sorry I can't react at all to your character and so I don't get fun from the matches, please could you be so kind to say me what I'm doing wrong? What are the tactics that I should apply?" At this point they could accept to say you their "secret" or to play a training session with you (the training lobby was created exactly for this purpose). But when you are in a match it's your skill against their one and it's repspectful for both the players give their best until the very end.
You mentioned Awesmic, I played against him many times and the outcomes were the same of you, even so he can confirm that I never surrended to play him because I was being destroyed. And I stated more times as a comical relief my almost 50 consecutive loss in ranked against the same player, without ever beating him and even more also a player without fair play. I think that stop to play seriously it's even worst and more irritating than to taunt or hit the opponent after the ending of the match.
Exactly.Nah hitting people afterwards is usually uncalled for, and having someone give up against you means a free win. Ya gotta look at it from my skill level side. If you're beating someone to where they give up just back out to the lobby and start at the bottom. It's that kind of activity that makes me leave lobbies no matter who is in it. Especially if it's some online warrior dragon gunners.
You don't have a choice in going afk. That's what juggles are lol. You are taken out if the game for a while for them to do combos. That's the point I'm making. What's it matter if I turn my attention elsewhere while I wait?I never go afk in games, I won't play a game if I don't have time to finish it, I won't leave if its not going my way. I don't know what you are reading but NO ONE said that! Judging by everything you say its like you just have your own rules, and you can change them as you see fit.
I think its interesting that you think DOA's content gives it a poor image, where as I think gamers with your attitude give ALL games a bad image.
Real quick.
Explain what the difference is between
Me holding the controller as I watch my character get guarantee combod
And
Me not holding the controller as I watch my character be guarantee combod?
Also, when i see my opponent just wants an easy, quick win, and I give it to them. Where is the disrespect in that?
As for "should they not give their all to give you a chance", YES. That's why I ease up when I see someone can't keep up. Its downright insulting to just steamroll someone who doesn't know what to do. Its literally just corpse kicking (which is precisely what force techs are now that I think about it) for an entire match. A tournament match is a different case of course but we aren't talking about that.
