The alternate outfits in general so far have been really nice from what I've seen, Lots of very casual type clothes which is awesome. Hopefully we'll start to see more alternate outfits now during gameplay at TGS or something.

Still looks to me like they try to keep the vanilla release “clean” and actually in line with other vanilla releases… so we will get some sexy, mildly revealing stuff for most girls and the usual suspects will have a skimpy/fetishy costume. I think there will be unlockable extra Jiggle, but stuff like Gravure vids and the controller shake is gone… for now…

The first costume DLC seems to contain something for everyone, so that's a step up from DoA5 as well XD I have no doubt that we will see the first round of beachwear DLC before the end of summer 2019 (unless the game really bombs hard and they abandon ship really fast like Namco usually does with SC ) I just hope it's something unique for everyone. It's also a good opportunity to bring back goofy stuff like Bayman's diving suit.

They will probably try to sell different kinds of costumes as DLC and whatever sells best, will determine the direction in the long run. This most likely means fetish DLC galore, but you never know lol

You are acting like I wasn't in that era of DOA5... I was there too and I remember that video and that INSANE PUSH. But again, most of that was Japanese side included... and unfortunately, we have to get that along with the typical DOA news which didn't help matters at all because people can't differentiate different marketing worth shit.

My point is that it's primarily only focused on the Japanese side as I never seen them try and market those pads in the West unless it's a Youtube video. Most of their ridiculous shit was never marketed to the West period, which while people can act ridiculous about it, you still have to search for the Japanese equivalent to even see that meaning they are knowing the difference of what audience they are marketing towards.

I wasn't acting, I just brought it up again xD and they probably don't market it to the west since they know if people in the West want it they'll import it, which I wouldn't do since I have no use for lewd bath posters and mouse pads, my mom would drag my whole existence if she caught me with those, let alone all the pics I take on the PC version >.>

Ok, I can understand that much as that is a worrying concern(I also hope that they don't go all in hardcore like with Last Round to the detriment of everything else, even variety).
But again, there have been no real difference at all past the Japanese Version getting a super ridiculous deluxe version that only the most reaching of babies will react to(aka those who still cry that fanservice is dead)

Having unlockable boob jiggle wouldn't be too bad in comparison to those(but even I can say it's a little much).
I'd rather have variety and let the male characters get in on that DLC love and not once every Halloween and sometimes in a blue moon.

I started think about the article someone posted about how the roster is based off of the story. Seeing that Nyotengu and Phase 4 are going to be DLC, we can’t count them as part of the roster of 25. The only characters in my roster who could potentially be cut are Gen Fu, who honestly could be swapped with Leon (unlikely), and Alpha, because she would sell well as DLC. Raidou could be in the story, but I think he was a gimmick for LR. I think DLC is the biggest reason we won’t have Momiji and Rachel in the main roster as well. They would make TN a lot of money to be DLC. Momiji was more popular than most of the female cast during the DOAX voting and Rachel is a busty blonde in a revealing black latex kink suit. Hopefully they take a look at how Tekken is doing their season passes, 3 characters, extra costumes, and a game mode. In DOA’s case, I think 2-3 character, a new stage, and tons of costumes would be nice. They could already have 2-3 season passes ready. Rachel, Momiji, and Raidou. 2 of the DOAXVV girls and Leon. The remaining DOAXVV girl, another new Moe, and Ein....

Why would we have "unpopular" characters as DLC ? Shimbori himself said it. For instance, it does not make sense to have someone like Leon out of the roster twice. Would that many people buy him ?

I don't want to defend that leak, but having a semi-popular Tina as DLC make more sense. She is a girl (meaning she is more popular than most boys), she is not so unique (we already have Bass) and her story is not so important (it's not part of the whole DOATEC thing and can be detailed later).

This would bring a lot of demands from the fans. I'm not sure people are gonna do a petition like in DOA5 for Leon, once again. But if someone like Tina is not in the base roster, you can be sure her DLC trailer will hype the fans (even though they would be disappointed at first).

What I'm saying is that there is no rule, and... well you should not rule out characters like this. Expect the unexpected. Lisa can be in the roster and not Tina because she brings a truly different fighting style and a different skin color. Tina can be in the roster and not Lisa because TN prefers her. Both can be in because they will have a cool segment together in the story. Etc.

I said possible DLC. I am not sure we can expect Leon back at all. I doubt they would take someone like Tina off of the roster. That is going to piss off your die hard fan base. Tina is one of the original 3 females. Leon plays absolutely no role in the story, while Tina serves as comic relief. I’m not saying you’re wrong, but it seems unlikely. Momiji and Rachel would serve well enough as DLC member that won’t piss off too many people.

While Leon, Ein, and likely Raidou won’t make nearly as much money in individual sales as the female characters, they could use them as easy numbers for a season pass. If they say you get 3 characters in this season pass and don’t tell you who they are, then people are likely to buy it because 3 new characters. Leon, Ein, and Raidou already have assets that would be easy to implement into the game and would likely cost less to make then a whole new character. It also sounds like they would want to try to switch up the dlc characters they make that way their western audience doesn’t freak out every time the new character is a female anime stereotype.

My guess would be a teaser for the new female, or a full trailer of the new female with Bayman (because he was so poorly represented in the new trailer) OR with another character. But yeah, apparently the trailer we got (which was amazing by the way) is NOT the big TGS trailer.

Also the website did not update, so I guess we'll have to wait for the new trailer to see the new descriptions (characters, stages, story).

God it would be so great if she ends being connected to Christie and Bayman. Just imagine a Korean assassin who used to work with both of them and it's similar to Christie (as in, she's a mature woman) but being less of a "Femme Fatale" character and she doesn't use her appeal in her advantage, but it's an actual cold assassin who is experienced in her fighting style techniques and is investigating the whole DOATEC drama in a close way. I imagine her having a design inspired by Beatrix from Kill Bill.
