Yeah, I would be part of the rebel rousers. They have wasted a major opportunity with Lisa. They should be embracing her, but they are like slowly erasing her. She is going to be like Leon eventually. Just a bonus character. I know the original intention for Lisa was to have a black female in DOAX (racial diversity), but her story was amazing in DOA4, then we get to DOA5 and they like disregarded her DOA4 story and then said "eff it who cares? I mean she is black..." I notice more and more how little Eastern companies, with emphasis on Asian companies (Japanese more so), don't really care about black characters and their roles. It's kinda sad. Lisa was beautiful, intelligent, and fun. Now she is fading just because THEY don't care. The fans care, but does TN? I don't think so...

Just how it feels to me. Don't hate me because I am honestly voicing my somber opinion...

I honestly don't have a problem with them releasing female fetish costumes, I won't buy them as they don't interest me but it's cool for those that do want them. What bothers me though is the fact that the males are almost constantly ignored month in, month out.

I main Leon and i love him for his brutality but God I wish i had a couple more costumes to put him in. I'd even use him in a bunny costume at this point lol. I have no issue with them releasing fetish costumes regularly for the females but don't forget the male fighters too, they belong in the game as well. I would love a priest Leon though! Lol.

Despite how much I state I have zero issue with fanservice outfits, I too want some conservative costumes simply because sometimes a woman in a coat or in a fashionable state of dress can be beautiful in it's own right too.
But here's the one thing that irks me: The "I'm a Fighter" slogan is bullshit and was ALWAYS a dumb way to market the game in general. Not in the way people think about it, but in the fact of CONTINUALLY USING IT despite the fact DOA5 has already came, passed and got far more recognition than it ever has before. This is no Arcana Heart or Vanguard Princess, people ARE seeing this for an actual fighting game on the same level as SF and Tekken now so continually acting as if they should still abide by it is just ridiculous.

In the end, there IS some level of anger towards it, but it's mainly within the first 2 paragraphs without understanding the situation(mainly talking about the 'Soft Body Physics' mainly because they don't want to talk about everything LR has to offer).

Actually the things are not always black or white, at least not for me. I understand clearly that the sexy outfits sell, and if you can do it with copy paste ones the outcome is even better for a financial point. I'm not asking to Team NINJA to stop to release it and personally I also like the bunny ones. What I'm questioning is that appear very unlikely that in 9 months there wasn't the possibility to alternate to these fanservice packs at least one or two dedicated to all the roster (so never forgetting the females) with unique outfits: I don't believe that this would have ruined the marketing strategy of TK and that they can't allow to release an "underbought" DLC for a time.

Actually I find the post on Facebook very polite even if of course presenting a complaint it can't avoid to be polemical, personally I don't find any problems on this matter. However I agree with you that IMO there could be a misunderstanding on the interviews topic: Hayashi was talking to a Japanese audience that is interested to this kind of improvements, so his focus on the breasts engine could be dictated more from a peculair marketing purpose than for an actual priority in the game. He also explicitely mentioned how there are 2 kind of audiences for the series, one more interested to the beauty of the girls, another to the fighting aspect. So having to release the same interviews to Western journals, I'm pretty sure that Hayashi would have talked almost completely about different aspects of the game.

But, I won't be getting these I'm saving my money for Persona 4 Arena 2

I try to look at the bright side when yet, another stupid DLC is released there's usually one girl who looks good in the costume, or either it was someone's costume in a previous game. I tend to only buy that costume so that I can complete their costume collection.
For example, I will buy Tina's costume from this pack. I bought Lei Fang's cheerleader costume because it was her costume in DoAX2. I bought Ayane's towel because she had it in a cut scene in NG I also bought her school girl uniforms from both packs and her training outfit because they were her originals from previous games. Same with Kokoro's school girl costumes. I bought Hitomi's overalls because the shoes, leg warmers, and belt were taken from her DoA4 costumes 4 and 5. I also bought Hitomi's sports gear because again, DoA2U.
Not sure if I make sense, but it's just my way of thinking.

I wish I'd have your confidence in the matter. I saw the boulder as a deliberately open ended cliffhanger, as a test to the fanbase. To see how popular or unpopular she is in the fan community and if she's worth keeping around until the next DoA installment.
And if she's not popular enough, they would just continue the story with the assumption that she died as a result of getting crushed to death.

Which would kind of suck, since she really isn't all that popular, even though I think her personality, especially her Mariposa persona is really fun. I just don't think people in Japan find her sexually appealing
(and I'm ready to get called out on this btw, could totally be off base), and that's what matters when it comes to the female characters in the fanbase, sadly.

Japanese just don't find any other races sexy. That's why she went from black woman to tanned woman.

Seems they only exclusively like big titted skimpy white barbies qmd that's it.

Its also why Mila started out as a likeable girl next door tomboy, but went to being given all the slutty shit like Tina and Lisa.
