1. Honoka ( Based on what I've seen... new favourite! that stance variety is exciting. )
2. Marie Rose
3. Nyotengu
4. Rachel
5. Momiji
6. Phase 4
7. Rig
8. Cyber Raidou
9. Mila

I'd honestly like Mila more if all her strikes weren't so visually boring to me.

While I wouldn't be surprised, is this verified, or you just saying that?

I suppose that Emperor is only saying it, but it's something very likely considering the success of the Japanese arcade scene for DoA5U, the success on console of the previous DLC characters and as Hayashi already stated the possibility to an official interview. Add to this that we have already a double random icon...

It takes so much time and money to create a new fighter though and TN seems to have reached a point where they're taking many shortcuts with character designs/movesets in order to add them to the game ("cough" Salad "cough").

And it is (again) a slap in the face imo to make us buy another version of the game only to give us an incomplete version with more paid DLC. Not to mention they're offering a lot less additional content going from 5U-->LR as compared to 5-->5U so they're already in a bad position to start out with.

which makes Salad all the more hilarious, as its obvious, TN is truly "Milking" it! :D

Sorry, I'll step out now.

To be fair, as I said at this point I hardly can see a way for Team NINJA to get shortcuts with movesets if not working on Genra (that anyway would need some substantial work on it), or adding guests characters (that anyway would be considered however new addition in the game and would need however of some balancement as already happened for the VF characters).

About the designs, honestly Team NINJA has already requests for many old characters that they created, (Donovan, Genra, Irene, Genshin, Nikki, Yaiba, Miss Monday... ). They could use shortcuts deciding to get new characters from them, and again being able to appeal a big part of the loyal fandom.

Sadly this is more a fault of Koei-Tecmo, however for fairness has to be said that fans requests for a porting of DoA5 on the current generations (and PC) were there, with the experience of the past policy of the production team was just a mater of time before to seeing it. From this point of view, the major complaint should be the not so big (even if present) graphical improvement rather than the lack of new features, in the end the main reason for playing with a remake on a new generation of console (putting aside the wished netcode improvements).

About the different additional content between 5U and 5LR, not for being always the Devil's advocate but I think that the big room of improvement in 5U was dictated more from the fact that it was the game that the developers wished to release since the beginning: for this reason I see it as an exceptional case, where ordinarly what happened from 5U to 5LR should be the - sad - rule (exactly as seen for SF4 and its updates).

EDIT: About Sala... ehrm Honoka, I'm pretty sure that she will become one of the most appreciated characters from the community if TN made a good work with her. The fault of the character was to be released as one of the few additions for the last version of the game and immediately after Raidou. Being one of the characters appeared since the beginning in the roster of 5 or 5U, I'm sure that the general welcome for her would have been very different (same thing, but in a much lesser extent, with Phase).

.....not to be an ass, but I figure its more obvious that Last Round is just a standard port for next gen, more than anything else.

I'm not sure if you are disagreeing with me or less XD Like I said, I find the passage from 5U to 5LR very similar to what happened with the updates of SFIV (even if in this case we have graphical improvements, even if people would expect more from the performances of the current gen but this is reserved to DoA6...).

However maybe new characters, stages and modes released later could improve and make more worthy the experience of 5LR compared to 5U.

I just want TN to be able to take their time and not rush new characters. If they can make a character who has a unique/Genra's moveset then I'm okay with it. But I really do feel like quality is starting to slip. Almost 1/3 of our current roster was added on after the vanilla release. That's a LOT of new characters. They shouldn't be adding more characters at this point unless they feel the fighter can offer something new to the gameplay (and I'm not referring to their hair color, outfits or popularity from another series outside of DOA).

but INSTEAD, their priority will be "will this character be able to milk dlc purchases?"
