The ratings of the purchase in PS store is not really a automatic thing when you buy, so it really depends.
For example, you can buy something there and don't rate at all..which is common for a lot of people. I'm one of them because I see no point in actually giving it a rating. People bought this X costume more..but this costume has less ratings so you can't really tell which one is the highest selling point in that category.
Now it's even more hilarious when people buy stuff such as costumes and stages while rating it as a 1 star. So you don't like this but you bought it anyway?

True, well I guess an alternative route would be for Team Ninja to host a character popularity contest and split it into two sections. One for the female characters and one for the male characters. That way we could easily see which characters are the most popular for each gender.
Another alternative would be for Team Ninja to stop being asstards and make better, quality DLC in general so that it'd be worth buying for both genders.

Okay guys, list the characters that need new juicy tag partners in DOA6. I feel like Brad is a bit isolated (despite his friendship with Eliot). So is Bayman (he needs an female ally to hunt down Donovan). I'd like someone new for Leon as well.
Zack could have Niki. I know some of you don't think she could fight, but she could be a fun character to use and to watch in Story Mode.
Lei Fang/Jann Lee gets a bit boring after 5 installments, so I'd like someone for one of them... Jann Lee has something with Rig, and Lei Fang with Hitomi though..
No more ninjas please. Ryu/Momiji is a good team.
I guess Helena will have something with Marie-Rose in DOA6, and Ein should have something with Lisa.
Christie/Rig seems to be a thing now, and Eliot/Gen Fu should be together again. Gen Fu's last words for Eliot were interesting at the end of DOA5's story mode.
I want a rivalry between Rachel and Nyotengu (a catfight with projectiles!).
Mila (in her leather cosplay) will be Bass's tag partner for sure, so Tina can focus on her carreer and her rivalry with Lamar.

something like that needs top be dealt with in DOA6, we aren't getting any story or character interaction so right now its just going to be characters that sell so we need some really badass guy, or ANY girl sadly
my DOA main can can take away bout half your health in 3 inputs not just for holding, but also striking out of turn. and even IF i decide to let you out, since the grab is guaranteed on just frame, im left at positive and able to do things to you that make you wish i your head hit that floor.
