Whoa. Could you imagine if his 4 part is broken he gets frame advantage? Plus I meant his 4 part in punish situations. Anything -9 or more netting you a potential 100+ damage AS A PUNISH. There is no way it could leave him at frame advantage on break...I think.

I don't think they'll be buffed enough for my tastes, but it would be nice. In general I think Leon deserves to have more damage on his throws comparative to the other grapplers as well (Bass maybe being an exception). His highest damage throw is equal to Lisa's? If you ask me, he should get a buffed version of Tina's 364T. Everyone would then cower in fear from trying holds, just as they should.

Don't worry they'll be cowering regardless. unlike Bass Leon's superior speed, crushes, and mixup game can open opponents up far more easier and they'll either have to counter or risk getting launched especially with the all the new launchers he has and his ability to air throw in any direction he pleases adding even more potential damage. I already have a bunch of theorized setups for him brewing in my head from the small list of things we know about him

It would depend on how they're handling it. Mila's absurd advantage on break in vanilla makes me feel anything is possible.

with her and bayman their throw break advantage comes from slow OH's. an 8frame punish throw like dervish throw most likely wont offer advantage on break unless they turn it into an offensive hold and i'd rather just leave it as a throw that leaves him at disadvantage on break since just frame inputs make it unbreakable anyway.

Woah, that'll be a bit odd to get used to, at least for me. Opens a few combo doors, but I'm so used to it just causing a rollback that i'll probably forget i can combo from it for a while.

PPK becoming a launcher would actually disappoint me despite how good it would be, I like its old form of ridiculous knockback. But judging by that one video it is a launcher but it's Leon so it will all work out in the end (one way or another someone is flying into a wall).

saddly the person playing didn't seem to know what they were doing but if it wasn't for them we wouldn't have even gotten this so lets work with what we got.

from the little shown he has a new mid kick most likely 66K which causes the new bound stun at the 2:13 mark and looks to replace the alternate input of his 8K if he still has it.

his old P+K headbutt is confirmed not his CB which is good news since it was his best stun at i15 that caused the deep stun and would've been slowed down to 19+frames; now it looks like P+K is a new mid punch move and most likely his headbutt got a different input since the character select screen shows his CB input as P+K.

Another new change is his crouching 3(hold)P launches instead of causing the that flop away stun it did in 4 giving him yet another launcher added to his already big list of them

and lastly the best part of the vid is "Sorrow" playing in the background of a harsh desert wasteland :cool:

It also appeared that he was unable to aim the desert falcon.

I thought I was scrubby. Then I saw these clips.

Anyway, Sorrow was always my favorite Leon theme, but I knew it was coming back so that's nothing new.
Only noticed a couple things. Not much hype. Got to see the stairs area of the Desert arena, though, which is new (as in: not in NG3) which was kinda cool.

Haven't played Leon in a while but that one :6::P::P:(:6:?):K: @1:27 looks like a new string.
:6::P::P::P: is still delayable as hell. 1:02
Just judging by the camera shake on the :2::1::4::P: it is a launch on Normal Hit. 1:16 was blocked though.
Still looks to have the highest damage Holds and Throws.
As DFWM pointed out the :3:(hold):P: looks to launch on Counter or Higher instead of a flop (doesn't launch on Critical as seen in a lot of places in the video). Hopefully launches after a Critical Burst or Critical Threshold.
That mid kick (bound) looks to be a nice addition. Hopefully it has replaced the old :6::6::K: (if :8::K: has been kept that will be good. Didn't really ever find a particularly good use for that kick aside from its ridiculous range).
No confirmed headbutt. Better be in there.

Edit Section:
Almost forgot, new animation on :9::P:. Used to be his elbow instead of a flying headbutt. It has some ridiculous height to it as well.
That new bound mid kick also looks like it might be chargeable. Compare kick time at 1:45 to some of the other times it was used.

I have to make a list for this weekend to check out. Definitely seeing if I can still get a match finished in under 10 seconds (tough to do outside small stages but looks very promising right now).


Don't know about you guys but I laughed at that Hi-Counter Desert Falcon. 25%? Made my night and I just woke up.
