Should be able to make it this Wednesday! Had to spend a lot of time in training mode 'cause I forgot a lot of tech. ;_;

Hey dude, glad to hear! I look forward to playing you again. LeiFang and Kokoro right? If you can come Seikuken, that'd be amazing. I like your beastly Akira!

Edit: If you haven't seen it yet, here was the Top 4 from CECC.

Loser's Semi-Finals
Winner's Finals
Loser's Finals
Grand Finals

Dunno dude lol. You on the Canadian DOA FB page? CECC was last month on October 20th. I'm pretty sure there were updates on it leading to the event. Should've come to it, it was a great event!

I may be able to come down on Mondays some weeks if I don't have anything up that week. Wednesdays are the days that I leave the most open and try to get in the most offline practice because online is rage-inducing for practice.

Edit: Tag is also really, really dumb online.

I'll try to get there between 4 & 5PM. I would recommend bringing your favourite controller, along with your PS3 and a copy of DOA5U (in case they don't have spares on hand).

GGs yesterday, Harry, glad to have you back! I hope Luca didn't troll too much ( >.< yeah, his playstyle pretty much consists of trolling his opponent until they counteract him, in which he finds another way of trolling). I did troll him back though xD. I've noticed that your LeiFang is coming along well, but I'll give you a couple tips to help improve her a bit.

- Only use her parries or expert holds when you are certain that your opponent will attack into them. They become a big liability for Hi-counter throws if misused
- Despite their slow start-ups, LeiFang's lows are great for opening up an opponent and even starting her offense
- LeiFang's OH's are amazing such as 66T or 236T and you seemed to implement these, keep it up!
- Similar to Ayane, LeiFang is also a defensive character that specializes in making her opponent scared to attack her. Use this to your advantage by utilizing safe poking and OH's to force the opponent to act how you want them to act so that you can counteract their retaliations with your sabakis and parries.

Other than that, I liked the combos that you got off of parries and am curious to know if you learned any combos off of LeiFang's Walled 4T? Keep up the nice work dude. There should be a tournament in mid-December if you'd be interested in attending.

I use 3P 64P 6PP 3PP6PP after Wall 214T. Don't know whether it's optimal, but it's still pretty amazing damage.

Hey, I will be at A&C tomorrow afternoon to the evening since we'll have a new person at the scene and I'd like to play and discuss tech with him. If anyone is able to come tomorrow, please do! The more the merrier!

Also the next DoA5U tourney will likely be on Dec. 15th. I'd like to see everyone try their hand at it for the experience!

GGs today Brandon, I had a blast playing your Akira today. Told you it was beastly! No Kokoro for me though? Playing offline is MUCH, MUCH better than playing online. You can actually think about your setups and your opponent as opposed to trying to figure out how much latency there is in the match. I look forward to the next time we play!

GGs also to Harry. Your LeiFang has gotten a bit better, next time we play, I'll be expecting an epic Walled 4T combo lol! Remember to throw punish with i7 throws when you block an unsafe move. Kasumi & Ayane have loads of punishable moves. Akira, and LeiFang? Not so much.

I should be able to come in Wednesday this week if anyone would like to get in some sparring though I would be coming to A&C likely later in the evening after 7PM.

Definitely! GGs to both you(dat Ayane!) and Harry(dat Kokoro and Lei Fang!) And yes-Offline is the best! Can't wait to play with you guys again too!

Oh, and as for Kokoro-she'll be back soon enough. Don't get too worked up. ;)

Was gonna go tomorrow, but just made plans with someone to marathon Hokuto no Ken, should be fun. However, I am free both next Monday and Wednesday, whichever works better for you guys. Might even do both if someone is interested.

On another note, I need some details on this Dec 15 tournament. I can't find anything on TTT's site.

EDIT: Does anyone want to try playing with 240 life? I've been wanting to try it for a while now and casuals is the perfect time to test it.

I guess I won't be going this Wednesday either, then. Twice a week is a bit too much for me.

We played a few games with 240 life at the end on Monday and it was pretty entertaining. It's definitely a different thrill, 'cause every mistake gets punished so hard. I like it so far.

I'll be at A&C this Wednesday at about 5ish or so. My buddy Luca will be there tomorrow. He has a pretty solid Christie and Helena. And Harry is correct, we finished off the sparring session with a few matches of 240 HP and I can say that it is MUCH better for gameplay, albeit a considerably different feel because all combos destroy your health bar and environmental damage can be near fatal.

From here on out, I will aim to make my matches at 240 HP. If anything, it's good practice.

Also, I'll try and come next Monday to ensure that we can get multiple setups goings and ask the new person who came this past Monday (Seikuken) if he'd be up for another session since his fundamentals are very solid.
