Watched the new Virtua Fighter teaser, and I have to admit,, my biggest fear of supers and EX moves being added to VF have been largely assuaged, I am curious about what the red cracks on the character models is supposed to mean though, hopefully we get info during TGS

Not sure about the red cracks thing. Personal theory is locational damage. ie you hit a certain area continually until it causes a special stagger, which the red cracks signify.

Ngl, I thought they were revealing that Stella is a robot or something who's face was cracking, at first... lol

Mechanic might be neat, but may or may not get used to the effect...

I see pretty much everyone guessing it's a locational multiplier/weakpoint or something, or a place that becomes temporarily unblockable.

interesting theories, I was thinking it was some sort of guard break mechanic to punish players for being overly defensive, which is odd cause Virtua Fighter is already a game where defense is very active so specifically punishing passive defense seems weird, but that's just my speculation

Does anyone else feel like recent global events in just the last 2 months have made it yet EVEN HARDER for a series like DOA to exist? At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if even DOAXVV will get cracked down on sooner or later. It's not just Marie or Kanna these groups would be against, but anything they deem "objectifying" or "sinful", in any country.

Don't worry, KT protect DOAXVV by having their own japanese x account and new game doa prism reveal in DOAXVV stream not in major event like TGS, Gamescom and so on.

Ngl... C. Viper is the first character with a new look in SF6 that I don't mind or that I think looks even better than her old look, lol.

Shout out to xCal also winning BlazBlue Central Fiction at evo this weekend. He has been cooking in that game with Carl Clover for awhile now.

Yeah we been keeping tabs together on social media. He's been at it for a long while.

I always liked seeing him and others traverse in other games instead of locked behind one. Major props.

The new VF6 gameplay looks sick. Happy they're keeping it fast paced. Can't wait for more at TGS.

Yes, but it almost looks like it got some MK-vibes which I'm very wary about it, and a mix of DOA with that punch delivered by "Stella".

Just saw the Lucy gameplay trailer for GG. She looks dope actually.

Also she literally takes the UI from the Cyberpunk game for one of the attacks which is clever. I might actually watch GG tournaments now and root for anyone that plays that character.

We truly are living in bizzaro world, Microsoft increased the price of their 5 year old console, now Nintendo is increasing the price of their 8 year old console, what's next? Sony increasing the price of the PS4?

Gaming is about to be even more heavily expensive hobby in the future. Obviously expensive now, but it'll reach a point of super premium lol. Gacha is already flooding it worse as is.

GTA6 about to be $100.

Gaming has gotten expensive for a long time now, its just that there was a larger spectrum of options before from cheaper indies to mid-cost AAs to more costly AAAs. Nintendo used to have easily the more affordable console options. But now It seems more games are gonna shift into the higher price ranges.

honestly it's seems like if you want to keep your gaming habits up without breaking the bank, now's the time to get into older consoles with games you already know you like plus a library of undiscovered gems to keep you occupied at a reasonable price

or just sale the seven seas if you know what I mean lol

Possible but I just saw the announcement on Eventhubs and I'm happy that we're getting "Quest Mode" again, now as World Stage. And $10 upgrade for PS4 users to update on PS5. I'll take that.

Tbf most other FGs these days would release these updates as part of $40+ season passes rather than a $20/$10 full game upgrade with a new Super Turbo subtitle.

I hope they can finally put out a physical release for this one, though, if it really is finally the final one.
