replayed Bayo 3 to put myself in the right mindset for Ninja Gaiden 4, but instead I just ended up reminding why myself why Bayo 3 is my least favorite Bayo game by a long shot :/

the action gets broken up by too many set pieces, so the game flows like a river of bricks, never being able to maintain a good pace,

the game REALLY pushes the new demon slave mechanic at the expense of the melee combat feeling weak across the board, and while dual welding kaijus looks cool, it would make more sense in an Astral Chain sequel, not a Bayonetta game

fingers crossed none of this stuff shows up in NG4

Yea, but I don't think it'll be released in 2026. Announced/teased, maybe. Released? No way jose. (then again back in like 2016/17 i said that doa6 would come out in 2022/2023 and i was completely off, lol)

I wouldn't take whatever she says seriously since she's not a person known for reputable sources. She is just giving a rough prediction on when she thinks DOA6 will drop which i can at least agree 2026 would be an ideal and appropriate time to drop a DOA7, they're likely just holding off till NG4 is up in the air.

DBZF is getting yet another major overhaul and a new dlc character (ssj4 Goku Daima ver.), partly excited, partly exasperated by how long this game has been going on for, and partly wondering what heck is gonna be left for DBZF 2? Or is the plan to just update and overhaul the original game till the heat death of the universe, kinda like xenoverse 2

tin foil hat time; I genuinely believe the reason why DBZF 2 isn't a priority is because making a current gen sequel with modern hardware isn't going to do much to improve the DBZF experience, so after porting the original to every platform they're content to just build on it's foundation, which is an interesting tactic

we've gotten so used to fighting games being around for 3-6 years and then getting a massive update in the form of a sequel, but seems like the devs want to try something different with DBZF, and while it is commendable, as a super casual player coming back to DBZF after an overhaul is kinda annoying, because everything you remember doesn't work and you have to essentially re-learn the game all over again :/

Oh man, looks like Ayane in Ninja Gaiden 4 has transitioned herself into Motoko Kusanagi! This new design looks so much like her! And even cooler!!

Taking advantage of that purple hair to go with the cyberpunk atmosphere of NG4, lol. Whoever did her design had their head on straight. And comparing her here with how she looked in NG1 and DOA1/DOA2 it kinda feels like we've seen her grow from a girl into a woman.

Now that Ayane is confirmed to return in Ninja Gaiden 4; I just hope Rachel will return too. Her absence in NG3/Razors Edge was such a shame. While we’re at it, throw in Kasumi and Momiji too.

I played it. I roughly have like maybe 70 hours on it.

The concept and aesthetic for it is cool. However, it is a gacha game and the story unfortunately updates over time. Probably could do much better if it was a standalone game like the previous Persona games.

Nope, I just YouTube the cutscenes that I find interesting. I’ve played Persona 5, 5 Royal, Strikers and Tactica but this game; the writing just isn’t as good as those games imo. Plus I’m already playing another gacha game, Action Taimanin. One gacha game is enough for me.

Since I'm in my "buying old consoles cuz current consoles ain't shit" era, ive been thinking of getting a 3DS, even though most its exclusives have been ported to the Switch or PC, there are a handful of gems that are still locked behind it that id like to get my hands on

@Derock I say 3DS, but more than likely I'll be getting a 2DS XL, or whatever the largest 3DS I can get that is compatible with circle pad pro

@Yuffie yeah, recently got a 360 and a box full of games for dirt cheap, modding is definitely on the table at some point but for now I'm just enjoying the old stuff

Tbh if we don't get a new title per say, I wouldn't mind like a remake of an older title like how Itagaki lovingly remade DOA2 and basically made it like it's own thing. DOA5LR, DOA4, DOA3, or even a no Nintendo dimensions remake with expansion would be so good while we wait for a major sequel

Personally I don't think we should get another DOA game, especially not in this day & age due to how DOA6 & Venus Vacation Prism were made. Unless there was a way for someone like Me who pays for Paid-V Stones have more involvement with the games development process.

Based on what I'm seeing, remastered/remakes of the old doa games and DOA7 are the highest requested.
Probably get canceled, but I wished we got to see DOA6 Ultimate with actual stages and tag and crossplay. Game died way to fast in a year.

Also a good way to mark NG's anniversary. :D Not sure the exact date, but the arcade game first came out some time in October back in 1988. The first NES game came out 2 months later in December 9. But I guess partially because of how different the arcade game was and not being as important as the NES game, on top of the arcade games lack of exact date, the accepted anniversary is Dec. 9.
