    That 2T change happened when the game switched from 5U to LR. I was never a fan of the change. I think remapping it to 1T and making it twice as slow was retarded. I'd like to have it changed back and have her current 2T be scrapped.

    Of course, changing it back to the DOA2 version, where it was 3 frames, did 100 damage and lead to a guaranteed 100% combo when used under a ceiling wouldn't be too shabby either...

    Good moves will do that to you. Though I still rank Ayane above Bass in the tier list, and their personal match-up is a 5-5.

    Haha, that's most of the reason to how I took up Christie as a sub; i.e. you need to know her moves & techniques to deal with her. It's a sinking feeling to enjoy using a character that you consider a bane.

    this almost happened to me when i was playing alph in an effort to counter her. i ended up really liking her and considered making her my main, but I never did cause alpha is one of those characters i don't have fun winning with (if that makes any sense), it's the same reason I stopped playing Laura in SFV, she's my favorite character in that game but wining with her is not fun

    let me clarify, when i said throw punishment in that context, i meant in punishing recovery frames. like if i block somethings -10 and go for a 7 frame throw punish, in that situation the throw should unbreakble. it'd be a NH throw (even though it's throwing Recovery frames the game still counts it as a NH throw) but it'd still be unbreakable cause it's a punish

    But again, punishment on all context would be there. I'd keep unbreakable throws on unsafe moves and within recovery upon whiff, as well as HiC.

    No reason to switch to a newer game just because it's newer. If an older installment of your series is better than the newest one, doesn't it make more sense to play the older one?

    I think it'd be much more interesting if every fighting game community actively played every solid installment in their franchise instead of only blindly playing the newest one, even if it sucks, just because it's the newest.

    i don't think it's a case of melee being the most solid or the best one, it's just the smash game that requires the most amount of tech skill and has the most depth despite being the 2nd game in the franchise. well, when your sequels are brawl and smash 4, it's easy to see why

    anyway, this is all pointless, the original smash is STILL my favorite in the franchise, fuck all this melee, brawl, smash 4 nonsense

    Yeah I actually heard about that... its also why the Smash 4 & Melee communities don't have alot of Overlapping Players.

    PC gaming has indeed gone to shit as well, since most games are now released digitally. Primarily through Steam too, with its awful DRM practices. Even the few games that are still released physically will usually still require a Steam activation key for some stupid fucking reason, making the disc completely useless once the code has been redeemed.

    LoL....I don't even know why some studios bother with the hassle of Physical Distribution if they're just going to crap all over it if the Disk itself just contains the steam client installer....

    Jackys' 4pk is +2 on block but most characters can 2p him out of all his BT follow ups, so is BT backdash the best option in that case?

    You can use the back dash to condition them to chase after you...

    Lol, conditioning. No one gets conditioned in DOA, they just mash crush attacks, 6p, or jab strings whenever they think it's their turn

    At least that's the case online

    Yeah, dashing in will both forfeit the advantage and may possibly leave you at disadvantage depending on how plus you were beforehand. Which thus could leave you vulnerable to CH attempts by your opponent, i.e: You dash + attack could get CH by the opponent jabbing you.

    In short, it's a small mind-game in that situation, though you still have advantage over the opponent if they opt to toss out an attack during your +frames. What DB suggested is a pretty safe course of action, that could even cause the opponent to overextend if they're not mindful.
