the reason my costume got chosen was because it was like one of three options. it wasn't from my skill and it wasn't because they liked it. i dont feel honored i feel lucky as there was a 30% chance for me no matter what i made. Crisman should have won she just had a habit of making the wrong thing at the wrong time. if she wanted to she could have improved my design 100 fold, i know because i saw her do it.
i know i sound ungrateful, but it hard to appreciate something you feel like you haven't earned. at least if my design was my best foot forwards it would feel better, but the fact i made so many stupid mistakes still got the spot, it drives me nuts.
Sorry Russian but you can't really be sure of it. The fact that only three costumes were available for Bayman doesn't mean necessarily that your design was chosen only because the best one between them. I'm not a judge but I find extremely cool your outfit and I heard even other people saying the same (even outside FSD), so I don't see the reason because no one from TN should have thought the same. You have also to consider that your costume it was inspired to a spider clan shinobi, but if I didn't misunderstood want also be seen as a futuristic militar costume, a concept already used for Bayman's C1 in DoA4 and DoAD - so something already favourited from TN - and that you end to develope in your own original way. So I actually think that there are more chances that they genuinely liked your design because in parallel with their preferences.
Finally you have also to consider the reason because you put an alternative face of Bayman: people (as myself) mentioned you that the character could be hardly recognizable and that TN could have ended to discard it for this reason, so you decided to create a secondary option for bypassing this obstacle. In some ways you stated them to put in a secondary role your full mask in favor of more chances to appreciate the rest of the design through a way that could go more toward their "interests": if your wish was to see the costume exclusively with the full mask you had submit it only with it, in this way any possible alterations to the costumes would have been seen from TN as a coscious change to the idea of the original author without his consent.
@Argentus for example sent his design only with a blue-hair Mila option and stop: he felt that the hair detail was an integral part of the costume and didn't want to get the rest of the outfit with a normal hairstyle, even if this could mean to see discarded the full design for this reason.
PS: If can be of some consolation for you, try to think to my Ein's entry in the 1st contest from your pov: I had only a rival and again my outfit was discarded. Apparently this should mean that my outfit had to terribly suck for them, ahahah! xD So as you see there is always someone that feel worse than what you believe

Now for coming to the news of the day.... Alpha-152 get a costume! The world is near to the end!
I remember Kronin made an Alpha outfit with wings however the wings were actually the arms rather than on the back. Does anyone remember any other Alpha entries with wings?
Maybe it's Unicorn Alpha...I can't find the picture yet, but someone added wings and a horn to her.

In addition to the wings shadow, even the color used from the designer seems to match the one of the teaser. I'm really excited to see a new costume for Alpha and apparently modifying her (its?) aspect, it's just a shame that TN didn't use a real costume for her or apparently (if this is the design used) they didn't go with other entries that were much more creative (and I don't talk of my outfit).
Sadly Alpha suffers like Ein of a not great use of effort toward the character, but again if the outfit should be this one that I posted I would be however happy for the choice made (first of all just for having decided to give even to her a new DLC).
Maybe they used
@Kronin's concept (Siren), put the wings on the back instead because it was easier, and jellyfied the rest of the costume.

@KwonJigglypuff, but it's really not a problem if they didn't use it =) I believe that it's a shame simply because seemed to me the best outfit that I submitted so far (and the fact that was almost entirely inspired from something already existing say enough about my creative skills! xD). The idea, the correlation with the contest theme, the choice of the character and the actual realization seemed to have a great balance that I didn't obtain with any other entries so far, however I already knew that it wouldn't have been easy: to create an outfit for Alpha was a bet in itself, more with my pleasant surprise the competition was really good, I saw so many and creative entries for Alpha and I was the first one to like a big amount of them.
Who knows, maybe creating the design using a transparent skin would have given me more chances (see
@Russian-chiropractic19? To post an alternative face for Bayman couldn't have been a mistake if you was satisfied of the rest of the costume and with a compromise wanted see at least in game it), but in the end I decided to give a chance to a proper costume made of skin even for Alpha despite this could come against me. And actually I had already limited myself because in my original plans she should have got a new hairstyle inspired to the character "Siren" from Devilman XD

Just go and slap some fucking wings onto everyone. Not like they were a signature of Tengu's aesthetic or anything.
But between all the possible characters of the roster outside Nyo, Alpha is maybe the one that should own the most reasons for getting them, considering that is the only one that can... fly for real! (well, technically is floating). So if something are the other characters to be wrong
By the way you have to consider also that Nyotengu is the only one to have real wings, the rest of characters has just static imitations (I believe that even Alpha will not get wings actually moving on themselves).
