Wow, I'm once again reminded what they did to Ryu in DOA5. D:

He looks like 50 and as if he hasn't slept for a week. That, and he's been hit by a whole ugly tree in the face.

Maybe that explains why he has his face covered in most costumes.

Ugh, the new stage is so boring and claustrophobic. The explosive barrels are entirely situational and very tedious to accurately hit, there's a certain area you have to hit at otherwise the opponent won't go into them...the single barrel is even more annoying. There's also a few wooden boxes lying around near the corners that can be broken but they're basically like any other breakable object, nothing new. the Titan just stares at you ominously doing nothing but being an eye sore until you can PB your opponent into him...he'll just swat them to the side and the victim will just tumble to the side as if they fell down stairs. Overall the stage is very basic, and it takes a moment for it to load up....don't even think about going to the home menu, otherwise it'll lag somewhat and take a moment to stabilize showing just how unstable the stage is.

...That's my review of the stage from playing in it, the only saving grace is that the floor textures are actually pretty decent, and the music slays. The stage imo would be way better and more homely if they removed the titan and the ugly fog that surrounds him so that the sky could be nice and blue all around like on the opposite side of the stage with the buildings and stuff in the background.(Excuse my rant, I really get enthusiastic when giving my opinion of something XD).

You just saved me however much that stage cost. Thanks.

Also; does the stage and costumes come in the same catalog or are they separate?

No, the patch adds the stage in by itself so you can see it on the stage select, you'll just have to go to the store to buy the stage. The costumes you can get via catalog though.

$40????? Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm idk about that lol

I know for sure I'll definitely get Rachel and maybe Hitomi's since it's the only DLC she has that fits her imo.

Charging money for something that affects gameplay is fucking stupid tho

All characters except Phase can use all hair options. Phase is stuck with her braid. Also, Phase's chest is the same size as always, the clothing's flat and muted color makes it look smaller than normal. The stage is not a carbon copy of the Sky City Tokyo stage. Here are the differences I've noticed:

The stage largely rectangular while Sky City Tokyo is a square.
No tall walls, so wall moves like Kasumi's 7P wall attack won't work.
Various destructible obstacles.
Explosive barrels launch characters like wall obstacles in Ends of the Earth and Hot Zone do and create a different follow-up chance than normal destructibles - you have to dash in, for example. These can be activated by some moves that wouldn't normally activate destructible obstacle follow-ups, such as Kasumi/Phase's back-to-wall 4T.
Supply cart next to the left cannon works like the special falling beam to exploding car sepcial danger zone in Scramble.
The edge of the stage in front of the Titan and between the cannons is an invisible wall.
Special Titan power blow does 140 damage compared to the Buddha's 110.
The areas on the edge of the stage directly opposite the Titan between the siege tower entrances and the supply stack are invisible walls.

Because Team Ninja are supposed to work for free right?

The price for the stage is fine. The costume DLC is still pretty darn overpriced though.
