Uh...they didn't go into a lot of detail and just thought no one gave a shit about it. They were very ignorance. They were complaining about a problem that got fixed in DOA. But it seems they didn't bother to do their research. And when it got to MK it got worse. They thought they expose the game at evo last year, but failed to do that. And think Injustice will be trash because they think mk9 wasn't good even though all the improvements NRS made to Injustice came from all the fan feedback of MK9 from high level players. I respect opinions that are well researched, not just word and mouth bs that just turns into a 10 minute or less bashfest about the game. But yeah they didn't do any research. I don't like SFXT, SF4AE2012, and marvel. But I know what is going on in all those games. I like to cover all my bases because I love competitive fighting games. Hell, I even know their tier list. And why that character isn't good or not.

Okay let me make this crystal clear for you guys. Regardless of what you think about them and what they said they are proven right until you guys start traveling. By "you guys" I mean this community. WNF got 4 people which is a joke for a NEW game. You mean to tell me in that area of WNF there are 4 people that play DoA offline. SB had around 40 entrants also a joke.

As far as their opinion on the game they are speaking of the core aspects of the game which they don't like and I respect that. The core part of the game and how it is played is what they don't like. Now whether or not it is a good game or not is different. However it will be bad game because apparently no one plays it because tournaments/weeklies/monthlies have it their sadly no one shows up to it.

So go ahead and try to call them what you want and be mad for them talking shit but you aren't doing any better until you get to an event. Start planning or doing what it is you can. If you can't travel that sucks and I understand but until the COMMUNITY starts getting off that couch and keyboard they are right.

Fanboys on youtube battling Tekken fanboys need to read this. Shits true though. May be new to all of this, but I know enough about fighting game communities & competition. Been watching from the sidelines for a long time. Part of gaming industry. That's why you're gonna hear stuff like this. I've never been one those who got to travel a lot, but I'm making an effort now. Also, may be a little off topic, but if there's no scene or not much of a scene where you live, you can build you 1. Build 1 on school campus, an old hangout, or even your backyard. I'm starting Tennessee off on school campus & getting an area downtown to see how much I can build up the scene.

No. Just because there's currently low numbers doesn't give them any right to say anything about what they do not know.

They talk about DOA5 as if it's DOA4. There is no disagreement in the core aspect only. They just hate on the game in general.

We're still too small of numbers and the game just hit twenty-five days ago. You can't expect everyone who bought the game to just immediately haul ass to the neariest tournament. Not to mention there's alot to learn and re-learn to the game, so most people aren't going to throw down the money if they're not on par.

It still pisses me off listening to Tom Brady talk all that crap when he fully supported and played DOA3.1. Even back when he was doing Bradycasts he mentioned FreeStepDodge to help give out good feedback on our site, to direct people to come here to learn DOA and support the game. Now he's talking trash about the game. A game he knows nothing about. He doesn't even mention DOA3.1 and how good of a game it was when he was playing it back in the day. Just WTF man. Where's the respect? Where's the passion for the game with these people? He was so hyped for the return of MK9 last year and now trashing the game. Hey I know the game isn't perfect, but neither was DOA4 and people still tried to support it. Even Brady HIMSELF ran the DOATEC tournament for DOA4 knowing it was going to have low numbers. Just where does he even have any sort of right to talk shit about our game? It utterly disgusts me.

This game WILL go no where until you people decide to leave your caves...... Just putting that there you can say whatever you want I won't respond. but there's more to building a scene than just saying "Yo I'm an S+ Rank and I beat Joe Shmoe whom all my friends in my clan say is the best Jann Lee in the world" every night I pray for this is game to somehow adopt players that are willing to play this game past their couches and stop letting negativity like this entire thread to pollute the rest of this community like its doing right now. Yeah Tom Brady and all those other fucks are 100% right that if we want this scene to grow past the 8 players on your friends list you're going to have to do more than just show up to you're local Play n Trade where there's gonna be a staggering 5 players signed up and get those 5 players to commit to going to something bigger as well. but fuck it though I don't know what I'm talking about I should just go back to playing street fighter 4 full time

Stop trying to convince people who don't have the game, don't like DOA because of its rep (who are probably virgins) and go after the ones who we know have it.

I'm going to NEC and since the game has dropped I've been talking to random players in my area about getting a carpool going.

Its 816 miles from J-ville to Philladale and its going to be more expensive for me to drive up there, grab all these mother fuckers and make the round trip but I'm doing it because I love DOA and I want to see it be successful.

Everyone in this thread had better be making plans to get to NEC and if you live in Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, VA or PA you need to PM me so I can pick your monkey ass up.
