DOA5 Tournament Circuit: Recap part 2

The tournament scene for Dead or Alive has resurfaced since the September 25th release of DOA5. There have been quite a few tournaments that have happened all over the world since the launch of the game. Whether it takes place online, in the UK, Asia, or North America, they are happening almost weekly in some part of the world. FSD community member Daman077c was the first to organize an online DOA5 tournament for the community that took place a week after the game was released. 44 competitors, divided into 4 groups of 11, fought each other in round robin format.

Those that stuck around to participate in the top 8 competed in a double elimination bracket.

I know how America's favourite girl, Sandy, made it impossible to run the 3rd Battlefield Arcadia 3D tourney, butz...when will the next tourney to be streamed? I'm still waiting! I loved all that talk about how a community can really build up a scene and stuff.

as far as i know, there aren't any battlefield arcadia tournaments planned for the near future, but the new york city players have been getting together to play casuals at http://www.nycnextlevel.com/

It's kinda sad. Majority of the commentators in the FGC are almost all about hype and trash talk. I loved that intelligent talk. Jaxel, ALWAYS very thoughtful and perceptive about what's going on. And watching the BA3D, I saw why they chosed you as one of the commentators for the launch party.
