    but in regards to this statement, he was pretty much told kane that if your opponent is doing stuff with lots of start up in the neutral, you SHOULD be reacting to it accordingly, and i agree with that; I think 15 frames being the cutoff between viable and gimicky is a little strict though

    It's all spacing and footsies. So it's good. My SF friends love it. Had I known it was at Evo and I had the money, I or my friends woulda taken that tourney.

    @VirtuaKazama @Mr. Wah well, after a couple hours of play i can say that this game is pretty fucking awesome, it's like street fighter 2 and marvel 3 had a baby, and in a good way, still need to figure out my max damage counter hit combos, but besides that this game is awesome

    Hidden Tip. Combo training is in the Training mode as a menu option. Will give you good ideas to work with for fatal combos.

    I think laura's standing medium punch has become my favorite button in SFV, plus on block, reliable anti air, special cancelable, I luv it!

    haven't actually tried that yet, then again i don't play much. i haven't even learned to reset yet, but at the same time i watch a lot of those matches where they do do that, lose, and im just sitting there screaming "take your goddam damage" i feel like people reset with her way too much.

    i tend to go for resets if it will kill, if not i'd rather just go for a knockdown. the good thing about lauras' knockdowns (minus sweep) is that you can't back roll them, so you (the laura player) only have to worry about quick get up or delay get up, and if you have meaty set ups to catch both, you're golden

    been playing more stick players lately and everytime im like "dam, how did he SE out of that!?" but the i pick nyo and my problem is solved

    true, but with 3k, ssk, 66p and 4p, i have enough options to mix up between if i don't want them to SE

    Well that depends on the neutral options. You are not always opted to go for those since those are generally slower moves. Not to mention that the opponent has to be open for those unless you provided a start up option with a high stun advantage or the opponent holding, which can extend the stun duration allowing slower moves to connect even if they tried to stagger out.

    UPDATE: so after this incident, my co-worker quit. he did 2 no-call no-shows and then he came in the other day to say he was done. So i guess in a way this situation kinda solved it itself

    Haha, so he just up and quit? Well that's what I would expect from him, from what you told me he seems like a goofball with no work ethic. Good thing he quit or he may have ended up upsetting the very wrong person.

    the tiffany lords/hinata cameo in Sfv just has me thinking "i could go for another 3d capcom fighter, i guess TxSF is the closest we'll get"
