    Haha, no need for that. I'm just a normal Canuck dude. For the record, I hate online and can't wait for the offline scene to start up again for DOA6. The dude we were playing with is also from Toronto and it was still laggy LOL.

    Tbh, I only trashtalk Ayane because FON and Hajin are the only legit ones, even though i still think that they would be on an even higher level with a better character that is good outside of paper theories. Ayane is more of a bait character so her moves are easy to telegraph, especially because of their animations and missing string variations *hides*

    See, I never not locked on in dmc3 *Looks at game next to me on cabinet*. TBH now I think about it, I probably always locked-on since 3 but think it's weird you don't have the option to not lock on-launch. Sometimes I want to admire the design of the ugly ass demons without having the big ass target reticle on them. You know, the whole, "Immersive HUD" situation

    I suppose. DMC's controls have never been as fluid as Ninja Gaiden's, but part of that I think naturally comes from what each game is focused on. Ninja Gaiden is primarily a hack'n'slash, whereas DMC incorporates a lot of other abilities into it's play-by-play combat (such as guns, teleportation and the like) that demand a different approach. Holding melee is already bound to other techniques (at least for Dante).

    Honestly, the most counter-intuitive thing for me in the DMC5 demo was that they changed Nero's Split attack (Nero's version of Dante's Helm Breaker) to back+attack instead of forward+attack, and I have no idea why. Trying to break a decade of muscle memory for seemingly no good reason is just odd.

    Well, marijuana does affect your thinking, reaction speed and coordination. If you combine that with gaming it will actually make you play worse. If you’re nervous it does calm you down, but that’s about it.

    Well, see, having ADHD. I find that it helps me stay calm and focused on the screen. Despite various claims. Certain strains have different properties. Some do make you react sooner in fact. Whether that is a good or bad reaction. It really depends on the person. It helps keep my adrenaline in check especially in high stakes competition like a tournament or ranked match. I use it more like a senzu bean.

    That’s because you have ADHD meaning you have a lower dopamine level than people without ADHD and marijuana raises your dopamine levels allowing you to stay calm. Marijuana is a hallucinogen drug that alters your perception and reaction times. It’s also considered a stimulant drug (that explains why you’re being able to concentrate more after smoking) and a depressant drug meaning it can make you feel depressed.

    Minus stick players. Who here changes DoA's controls? I feel like action games made me want to have Punch as SQ/X Kick as X/A. P+K Tri/Y, H+K O/B and Right bumper (Trigger for Akira knees too) as H. Left bumper for T .It feels odd having block on the face button. Makes some sense for holding itself but idk

    The first thing I did when I started DOA was make the control as similar to SC's controls as possible.
    P=Square
    K=Circle
    H=X
    T=Triangle
    P+K=R1
    H+K=L1
    H+P+K=R2
    Taunt=L2

    For SC, I put SQ as A, Tri as B, K as O G R1, Throw L1, A+B+K as X, R2 as A+B, and I manually press B+K for Tira special Jumps and BT B+K,

It's insane what measures he'll take. Tried to tug at heartstrings with that cancer patient, the war vets and the holocaust survivor. I do agree, us hating him, is uniting us.     I like the core fighting in Soul Calibur 6. I just can't stand meter breaking the pace. The meta etc Tekken does it right by only allowing supers at low health (I know they have it right away). Sometimes I forget how fast people get meter. Kinda kills the essence of a 3D fg to watch meter all day. Edge moves were funner to use than the, "Vtrigger" I want to be able to force 50/50s and meaty freely.

    Honestly, more than the SC/CE meter, it's the guard meter that works overtime to kill that game for me.

    I found that meter suited SCV very well since it felt like actual meter management (though GI's costing meter was a bit much IMO, forcing the use of JG's instead). But yes, I hate how meter usage in SCVI is basically just chucking out dumb soul charges, with the odd YOLO super here or there. Don't get me started on RE's either. Easily one of the dumbest mechanics ever in a FG (which naturally ruins the pace too).

    Well, that will be until people find the cheap to use at a high level characters such as: Christie, Rachel, Helena, Phase-4, LeiFang, etc. However, I am interested to see how the tournament usage of characters shapes up in DOA6.

    I was just using them as examples. The Top-Tiers in DOA6 will indeed be different, though Christie, Helena & LeiFang are still possible top tiers. The improved SS will be great against string heavy characters like Christie, Kasumi, Eliot and Kokoro for instance. However on the other hand, Christie & Kasumi also have a lot of tracking moves to deal with the new SS (which seems to get blown up hard to a good anti-step)

    Me and my friend have a differing opinion on what a causal is. He believes a causal can even be someone who understands frames. I believe a causal is someone who doesn't bother with anything technical in the slightest. Not even dojo.
