    It's not that much, is it? I only played like 10 matches with Rachel and I already have all of her outfits.

    For the core fighters version it is. For the real game, you can do it all in arcade like normal.
    Went back to Ein. Seems that my past never ceases to haunt me since everything wrong with the character 5U was right in 4.

    I wasn't counting them as nerfs (4P strings). I just assumed that eventually they would push him forward in one of the games. What I don't understand is that they'll give him 214K (not that good of a move mind you), as a new jumping 2 in 1 high to mid kick, but they won't give him 4P2KK or 4P2K6PK, and it sucks because I really do use 4P2K

    but other than that and 4K, his CB is the 3rd and last thing I'm bugged on. Like switching 6P+K back to DOA4 status and making P+KP the CB just seems SO much better. Right now he's lacking mid punch stuns outside of 3P. P+K is weak. 6P+K is strong but slow.

    It'd be one thing if 8P only bounded for threshold break but then again I wouldn't want that anyway.

    So... anyway long story short, if they swap his CBs from 6P+K to P+K and speed 6P+K back up then give him at the least 4P2KK, i'll be solid. 4K bugs me but the reality is its almost safe. You can only 6T it and dash in throw isn't necessary but might work. The range is very good, but the recovery is ass. I can deal with it though, and 4P2K6PK might give him too much damage... so I can live without it.

    DOA4 was a lot of characters best forms. DOA5 amped up the lacking characters and brought down (most) of the already thriving characters, I don't understand what's so wrong about having a lot of really good characters in a game, not flawless but at least you know... somewhat threatening.

    Yeah. Even though I haven't played her, I prefer how she was played in DOA4. Instead of FTs being her obsession, she would use them after BKO throw to continue pressure but besides that she had a lot of better tools.

    Yea, she had a few more relaunches to work with as well. She still has most of them anyway but... idk, I don't like losing tools.
    Anyone figure out how to unlock the NEW costumes? I want Hayate's new Ninja suit.

    If havent done it already, then you may have to but if you did all of it in 5, then all you have to do is go up on a harder level in the modes with him & you'll have them.

    I unlocked them all last night. Just play Tag Arcade / Time Attack and you'll unlock a costume for two characters. I just used a turbo controller and had it continuously do PPPPP... on Easy/Rookie/Normal and just let it unlock themselves.

    Well I just finished from easy to legend with Hayate in Arcade mode and got nothing. I'll check the core fighters site next/again. Maybe there's something written on there that explains why its not coming.
    Landed that job finally. DOA4 will be back in my arsenal soon.

    and I also like the character models better. Sure the hair kind sucked with the wind effect but the styles were good. (Especially for Brad, Hayate, Leifang, and Ryu, more so for the special hair down costume in doa3 for Ryu though). I also understand they probably wanted to make the characters look more real but I just liked the faces better in 4 for the guys. The girls look a LOT better in 5 though.

    It still has flaws. Flaws that are enough to make me want it changed as well. Mostly the changes to the holds' recovery. Idm some of the Natural combos either... there's a lot that could be changed but I think the game has a good starting frame to work with.
    Just to put it out there, I was hoping for a DOA4U to drop first. I guess its not coming period now.
    I have this bad habit of picking characters that are the "jack of all trades but the master of none". Doesn't matter what game.
    There's honestly nothing I hate more than a dirty kitchen...

    Takeda could you help me out? Im trying to find this Hayate combo where he does any combo> Juggle > The wind juggle> Follows up with some sort of backwards kick. Grr I hope that made sense..

    There's no trick to doing it other than make sure the "combo throw" letters are completely illuminated before inputting the directions. Generally I wait until Hayate does the first jumping punch to input 9174/7391
    I should have stuck with Kokoro from the beginning. She right for me.

    Good luck with that. She's good but she's a lot easier to step than Hayate. As for me you know I'm sticking with Ein through thick and thin.

    All comes down to, can I trust TN to make her 1K, 2H+K (not the follow up), 3K2P variants track while giving her a safe tracking mid kick that goes directly into Heichu? That's all she needs for tracking to come somewhat close to Hayate... but still not be quite there.

    Also her 2P+K has issues... but I still like her.
    So I tried to be optimistic up until now but things seem to have only gone downhill for my main. Steps forward were taken... but not enough.

    I'm not really a fan of gimmicky shit that has identical animations leading into multiple options, really just forcing you to guess. Even when technically slow on frames, the set-ups they enable, mind games they enforce, etc. are just stupid. Ryu's teleports and Hayate's wind dashes both fall into this category.

    Even so, it would be an option worth exploring to give him an integrated dash. I can deal with his old dash being lost as well but I need that low slide kick back... it was very important to his mid ranged game.

    Discussion: (For the sake of not digging or making a new topic) Why is ok for grapplers to exclusively have a tool as powerful as the OH?
