    Tecmo didn't pay Itagaki what they were supposed to. That's what destroyed DOA4 at the end (a game everyone loved previously) and NGII.

    In NG1, the AI is completely fair. Most of the time, it's your own damn fault if you get hit or die. Master Ninja mode is the only difficulty where it becomes a little cheap.

    OG NG2's AI is just stupid.

    The NGII AI, in the sense of enemy unit scripting, is actually not bad. Enemies are generally not exploitable with simple loops in the same way Nioh enemies are. However, what is often bad is the some of the enemy move properties and the encounters they set-up. For example, Van Gelfs often ignore hit reaction, and they have some awkward sessions with far too many multi-rocket spamming tac. mooks.

    Two things I disagree with the community: Itagaki Opinions and Tekken being a good series. Everything else is cool I think. Not bad.

    I'm not hating the Tekken series, I just think their main fanbase is a cesspool of cancerous twats. I play and enjoy Tekken 7.

    Even though I know a lot of people from the Tekken community bash DOA, sometimes I see people from DOA picking fights with the Tekken community and not expect to get retaliated by the larger crowd, so it often ticks my curiosity who is actually to blame.

    And the Tekken community are not the only ones who bash DOA; almost every FGC who thinks their game is so hardcore, competitive, and challenging, even SF and KOF players.

    No offense to the casuals, but I see a lot of people in the DOA community are not competitive players. Some of them are just graphics enthusiasts, and boobs and butt “photographers”. They don’t behave like a typical FGC who play for the fighting.

    The evolution of XcaliburBladeZ was quite astonishing. When he first won with Alpha I thought he was a punk, but he's one hell of a fighter.

    I think he doesn't want Momiji and Rachel because they were made for NG and left to be there. Momiji especially feels like a replacement for Kasumi at times, like he wanted a cute ninja girl sidekick with big bobs but Kas just couldn't do the slaughter in NG.

    Momiji and Kasumi both have very different stories, Momiji is put in the shrine maiden position because her sister died. Before her sister died Momiji was just a regular shrine maiden that lived in the village as a civilian. After her sister died she had to train in order to defend herself in case someone would attack the village again. Ryu saw her potential and personally taught her how to fight.

    I get why itagaki didn’t want Momiji and Rachel in DOA but I am very happy that they are. They fit in the game and story so well, with Momiji, Rachel, Raidou, Nyotengu, Phase 4 and Rig. The story could become very interesting and have a lot of action. I was getting tired of only seeing Hayabusa as the hero in need. I hope we’ll finally see him struggle so Momi and Rachel can assist.
