So according to Itagaki, he mentioned that what inspired him and gave him ideas+references for creating the Mugen Tenshin was from Sanpei Shirato, Strider, and Shinobi X (the game).
Ahh... just imagine a second fighting game IP by TN with throw breaks at neutral and superior step movement, starting off with new 10-15 characters while TN has two FG game series like Namco, in a world where it's treated as a FG by the populace while keeping it's fanservice and not using it as scapegoat schemes.
