    @Chaos It sold less than Namco fighters, but more than DOA 5 did. Problem is, they didn't have a plan or a desire to continue supporting it. Team was burned out from 5 and felt done with the series.

    Yeah still feel like 5 (or rather 5LR) should of been the last game if they decided to go on a massive break or just go on out there. If they knew that was going to happen, I wouldn't have even started DOA6 to begin with thinking about it now.

    Ninja Gaiden Master Collection didn't sell well (240k), but they are making Ninja Gaiden 4 still, it's weird

    got scolded online for fuzzying too much in situations where I "should be mashing", I guess manz has a point, if I read a grab I might as well get the max reward and go for the hi-counter hit, still i'd rather fuzzy, at least until they blow me up for it, THEN i'll start mashing

    Good ex. is Pai in DOA5 regarding CH. People claim she's weak (if the game was only NH nonsense sure), but once she lands that one hit CH into sitdown+launch+wall, that's 98 flat which is close to 100 (health is 300). You already lost a portion of your health because Bass / any other heavy decided to hit a button while they she was plus lol. Now imagine the other speedier ones with a slight higher damage output.

    I remember that one discussion about Nico vs Bass, and one of the basic responses was "Well Gehaktbal defeated Sio using Bass against Sio's Nico". He sure did. I was rooting for Gehaktbal even more because of it, but people seem to dismiss the fact that not only is Gehaktbal a very good player, but realistically Sio had a better character that can actually bully Bass if you had to truly try things out.

    I will say though is that strike speeds is actually my least of problems. Some out there take it more personal (especially people who play slower characters), I also play them on the side so I do understand how they feel from actually trying them out myself. My issue is the amount of yomi you have to commit & guesswork for it. Too much dice rolling isn't brain usage lol.

    yeah, it's a very strange move and personally I'm not the biggest fan of current Bungie, but who knows, maybe something cool will come from all this

    maybe we'll finally get that sequel to Oni, it's only been *checks watch* 21 years since the last one came out

    got rid of my PS4, hooked up my old Dreamcast, Gamecube, and OG Xbox to my hd TV, feels like a step backwards but fk it, been in the mood to play alot of old stuff lately

    welp, finally finished Skies of Arcadia for the first time, and I can say with confidence that it's not just nostalgia bait, it actually holds up

    SA1, Skies of Arcadia, Grandia II, Jet Set Radio, DOA2, SA2 etc. Games like Skies actually got me spoiled that I didn't want to give up the Dreamcast one time lol. But the times were changing and they stopped making games for it so I had to let it go and shelf it in the closet. Dreamcast was pretty impactful for me.

    I'll have revisit that at some point, rn im on Grandia 2, or moreso I'm revisiting my old save file from 2017 that I got 20 hours on and I don't remember anything about, except that we've beaten a few pieces of Valmar, Tio's just joined the party and we're fighting bugs in a demon's stomach, so that's gonna be fun to play

    Prepping for Elden Ring by going back to my roots and playing some OG Dark Souls, and holy cow I don't remember the game being so slow, to paraphrase Jacky Bryant "Feels like I'm moving in slow motion!"

    From Software's games are incredibly slow and sluggish. I can't go from Nioh or Code Vein to a From Software game. Bloodborne was the closest that I could tolerate.

    Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3, and Sekiro are definitely the games you play when you need a Fromsoft game with some speed, guess I just got used to fast pace of the later games cause it definitely feels like night and day now, didn't feel like that before lol

    shopping for retro games is a trip, either the games are selling for dirt cheap or going for over 400 dollars :/

    Parasite Eve & Legend of Dragoon need remakes. Those two titles are disgustingly underrated. A Parasite Eve Remake with FFVIIR's production values would be seriously ace. Especially after playing REmake 2, REmake 3 & RE8: Village.

    I get what you're sayin', of course there's great multiplatform titles that are optimized for current gen so buying a console for them is a wise purchase, but for me exclusives will always be the deciding factor

    if im just gonna play multiplatform I might as well stick with PC, which is what i'm doing right now, but that may change in the future, just waiting to see what Sony and Microsoft got up their sleeves

    If you have $2,000-$2,500+ to build/buy a PC that is on par or tops the performance of an XSX or PS5, then yes, PC is a recommended platform. I have a $1,500+ gaming PC and both my XSX & PS5 top it pretty soundly. I hate how expensive the "PC Master Race" is haha. Seriously though, exclusives are overrated in the 2020's compared to a few console generations ago.

    There's too many games available right now to focus on exclusives. I currently own 97 Xbox Series games and 74 PS5/PS4 games. You can imagine how big the backlog's been at times haha. If I only focused on exclusives, I'd have, like, only 5 or 6 games total in my library? (I tend to avoid the more "rubbish" games like Godfall or something like Crackdown 3).

    So does all K-pop sound like early 2000's RnB pushed through a Korean filter? cause that's the feeling I get every time I dip my toe into the genre :/

    but I gotta agree with @UpSideDownGRUNT, there's alot of heat coming out in 2022, new SF, new KoF, possibly new Tekken, DNF, and whatever NRS is working on, but frankly I don't see myself playing any of them

    Phantom Breaker Omnia's the only one on my radar and thats mostly cause I was already wanting to play that shit back in 2013 but it never got localized until now

    finally getting around to playing Skies of Arcadia, time to see if it's just an overhyped nostalgia fest or an actually decent game

    Very fun game. I never played the updated GC version (Thought about emulating it at one point), but I did have a blast on the Dreamcast version.

    Pretty underrated game and one of the RPGs I do hope they bring back along with Grandia.

    Grandia at least got a PC port and an HD collection, Skies is still locked between 20+ year old technology, which is annoying but hey I got a working Dreamcast so I guess I can't complain lol
