At least the guys got good outfits for the Valentine pack, I don't know much about Jojo but I know its popular so that would be a good collab. I don't play as the men but I know lots of people do so they should get more outfits but the collabs usually give them a few.

Male DLC doesn't sell because Male DOA characters are not important. It's hard to swallow if your fave is a guy, but it's the truth. You can give dudes all the relevance they want in "story" modes, but in the end the majority of people play for the tits, some only care about the faps, some don't even care there are male characters in the game, and some would rather have an all-female cast full of beautiful, young sexy women. Even TN doesn't care about the guys, their models look like early PS3 era games, and the only time they get content is to throw fans of male characters a bone.
Who would want to make content that doesn't get you money?
They make good looking girls, much better looking than the ones in cheap looking, ugly porn games, and because their games are not porn they have a wider market and can be sold in normal videogame stores.
Sex has great power, especially with males, so every shitty girl copy-paste DLC they shit out is bound to sell because the tits barely cover the nipples, or because it has 4 different types of panties, or because it's somebody's favorite fetish outfit.
Even some people who say "This set sucks! It's just fetish DLC!" will end up buying the outfit for their waifu or the ones they find sexy.

I normally am okay with sexiness and sexy outfits, but not when it looks like the girls are being sold out and the content looks like SHIT, so before you tell me I am a sex-hating SJW, think again. In a way I am glad some of my favorite girls and my favorite guys are not into this cycle of shitty, lazily made outfits, at least my eyes won't burn in seeing Ryu in a poorly made leather daddy cop outfit.
They are exploiting our thirst in the worst ways and it will never make me not bitter.

And, how many fans do DOA dudes have anyway? Except Ryu who found fame thanks to Ninja Gaiden.

I can't really tell about popularity, but personally i like a lot of DOA male characters more than the males of other fighters (that are normally the majority).

BUt i agree that TN is greatly to blame, even more now with those disgusting oppai mousepads and body pillows.

But they still do really good males, even if they are minority, and sometimes forgotten in the fetish land.

I agree with that. I literally main the most hated male character in the entire series (Raidou) but I have to admit that whenever Raidou gets DLC it's good.

Raidou isn't really one dimensional, he has the deepest story of the male characters imo. Raidou basically made Every character in this game relevant. He was a elite ninja who basically got taken over by his power and became demonic so his father gave the ninja clan leader title to shiden which made Raidou jealous and angry and even more demonic and as payback he raped his wife got a child with her, nearly killed both his children and made kasumi leave the village. If that's one dimensional then idk anymore.

I like almost all DOA characters and Ryu and Jann are some of my favorites (and one is my favorite, especially in his DOA2 outfit instead of the Legendary Black Falcon), so all I said was as an angry male characters fan.

I love his Oni Halloween outfit in concept, because it's sexy but it fits him. Another sexy outfit for Ryu I like is his DOA3 tight suit with loose hair.

Let's see:

Ryu Hayabusa seems a bit bland, but his real story is at Ninja Gaiden, still awesome momments in DOA games.

Jann Lee: This dude is amazing, for all i could understand, he was a poor child that learned bruce lee's fighting style by watching movies and crawled to the top with his bare hands.

Rig: Misterious villain is misterious.

Raidou: I think King Anubis explained well, he is basically what puts DOA into motion.

And that is just the beginning. Those characters deserve good dlc costumes.

I don't know, give Raidou a "classic" costume, where he looks like what he was before dying.

Ryu could get some of the NG games extra costumes that he doesn't have yet.

and so on.

Yeah Lisa is a really great character but sadly is the least popular female character in the game. she really deserves more love since she's the best character in the game my favorite character.

Yeah the packs that bring back old outfits are amazing! Seeing them on the better graphics is great and if it was your main outfit in a past game then you have it back.

And yeah Ryu wouldn't really fit that leather daddy thing, He already has a couple of outfits that are sexy anyway. I'd rather see cool new outfits or past ones get added.

How is raidou not one dimensional?! His only trait is "wants go orochimaru and mega man every technique". He started as a blatant Akuma knockoff.

My problem is that even if they had depth before, as of DOA5, every character, male and female, is made one dimensional.

Leifang got hit the worst, though, holy shit. From arrogant martial arts master whose pride is hurt by being "saved" to crazy stalker fangirl. Well maybe tied for how fucked over Zack got.

Plus in doa5 since the story focused exclusively on the ninjas, they didn't even bother giving anyone else a purpose. Like what are brad and Eliot even doing? Why is hitomi just being fangs sidekick as she stalks Lee? Does hit really have nothing better to do?

when it comes to DoA, the east outsells the west because DoA 5 was geared towards the west when it first came out with the whole 'Im a Fighter' slogan and shit and the battlefield stage etc etc. but when it wasn't selling, they started adding more fetish and the east jumped on it. raidou was TNs last real attempt to appeal to the western market, which....was very sad.

a large majority of the west loves badass male characters. judging from costume contests, all the cool male costumes come from western artists.
the large majority of the east loves sexy cute female characters. again, costume contests it's usually eastern artist that draw the most fetishy costumes.

i just feel like DoA could be both badass and sexy but TN just loves giving out the virtual handjobs with the god awful fetish outfits for the same 5 females. idk idk.

I'd agree since the characters all getting the same outfit makes it hard to see their personality and the men should just get more attention since they are good characters as well.

I'd say though that the fetish outfits aren't a big problem though like they were back in 2014 when we got them every month, the last fetish set was the Valentine one I'd say.
