These are some great snaps. The males look so much more convincing and better than the females in terms of realism & just in general, the girls just look like a blank canvas compared to them. Kokoro for example compared to Rig in these snaps they're worlds apart.
Tbfh Kokoro in 6 looks a mess in general, idk what they did to her but they fucked her up badly compared to how pretty she looked in 5. She looked much more convincing imo.

IDK, I honestly don't know what to think about Kokoro. She's never really been on my radar, but I see what you mean. I think in DOA5LR she looks better, now that I compared the two. There's something off about her new mug. I'm finisheddd at your avatar you gave bayman a whole 80s porn mustache with a smile ghghghghghgh



Yeah the stage choices and design isn't nice, I think DOA6 has the worst stage lineup. I feel they're too close quarters majority of the time, we need a sprinkle of DOA2 maps up in this bitch.
I like the stage design tbh, my only issues is that since there's so little and the game likes to use different stage levels as filler stages like the hidden garden and miyabi stage, it's a bit overwhelming, they also basically reused the Crimson with some new mechanics and garbage and the zero stage is basically the lab stage so there's not much truly new stages

My favorite tho is the APO, whoever designed that stage deserved a reward since the claustrophobic enclosed area with the darker lighting and setting and the glass break loop transition where the glass remains on the floor is literally the best stage in the game imo with the music as well. The unforgettable stage is good too but it feels so empty compared to the stages the exhibits are based from, like there could have maybe been a few onlookers or NPCs so it doesn't feel like an empty castle

I have been playing DOA5LR core fighters PS4 version again and ... is so sad watching DOA 6.

No seams in necks, better physics in several hairstyles (like Hitomi short cut), way better UV mapping and even better image quality (less aliasing, better blur effect applied to camera).

I really hope they keep improving DOA 6 visuals.

The more I play DOA6 the uglier it looks. The lighting just stinks.

The fighters look cut and pasted into the environments, like crappy star wars green screen effects. Everyone looks like they're illuminated by bright white spotlights, everything looks bleached out.

I wanted a more colorful and bright game than DOA 5 ... but they went to far, it's even hard to see normal maps lol

They have to find a middle point between DOA 5 gray festival and DOA 6 over exposure lightning.

They also lack natural face textures, like bigger skin pores, blemishes, freckles, discoloration, scars etc. that the male characters faces feature:

Male characters faces are also realtsically uneven and asymmetric.
The female faces are perfectly even:

They obviously adhere to (Asian) female beauty standards of flawless skin and perfectly even faces, but a little bit of texture and uneveness would've helped to make them look less like porcelain dolls in comparison to the men. Well, Mila has some texture and hinted at freckles:

But she's unpopular with the Japanese audience anyway, so she can get away with it, lol.

The characters have all of the skin textures on DOA5.......what the hell.. (ಠ_ಠ)

They do have different and higher resolution skin textures, It's just that the textures of the female characters are way too fine and flawless.

This is what I am expecting. I don't think they will rework any of the character models that are already in the game, maybe the new models going forward, like they did with the navels. On the deluxe costume models there are two navels now, just as nature intended. >__>

Speaking of deluxe costumes, I directly compared Rig's DOA5 MMA costume model with his DOA6 deluxe wrestling costume:

The body model is a completely different one, with different proportions. I'm not sure which proportions I prefer...

Yeah, I did remove the second navel. XD I know, it goes against objectively and fairly comparing the two models, but it just triggers OCD in me, I can't help it. :( It's just so messed up...


Needs more Bulge :)
