Can someone provide a breakdown of Marie Rose based on the gameplay we've seen so far?
To me, she seems like a striker with grappling emphasis, not too much on the juggle department. But because I'm not an expert of holds, I don't know. Someone give me a breakdown of MR, I might consider picking her up for fun after she get released to the patches. Her theme song is what attracts me. I'm not too sold on the voice though, after awhile it gets painful to the ears (sorry :/).

It's been awhile since videos have turned up, so here's the most recent one I came across today. Pretty much every match is Marie Rose vs Hitomi/Ayane but there's some Hitomi vs Ayane and randomly a Bayman in there too.

0:50:31 That's her Great winpose I'm assuming since I almost never see it. She definitely needs to be played more defensively though. Her range is short and a lot of those moves are leaving her unsafe.

Yeah I agree. She doesn't really have much to work with offensively from the look of things. Most of her strings are 2 hits and throw punishable or end in a high which would make her strings fairly easy to crush I'd assume?
None of her stances really work in her favor in an offensive sense. Her roll K looks kinda slow, and the only options you really have to keep an eye out for are the throw and the low which means fuzzy guarding the roll might make it pretty useless. Admittedly though, looks like the roll K grants a definite 4P launch. Yay! and the roll throw also looks like an OH.
Yep. I definitely think she's more of an defensive character. Them adv. counters leading into definite launchers is amazing. Knowing characters strings so you can do her SS stance... she'll probably end up one of the best defensive characters though. Looking forward to it! =P I play pretty damn defensively anyway.
That player though, I feel like they didn't use her sabaki enough. Seems like a key stance to break their offensive yet they barely used it. Trial and error I suppose.

We don't want the Nerf patrol to hear things like that. Before she's even released we'll have to hear "OP!!" and "No fair!! <insert fighter name> just got a bunch of nerfs so she needs nerfed too!" among many other things. XD

I'm almost positive I've seen it once or twice (can't remember which video and I really don't want to re-watch the 2 hour long ones. lol)
Soon enough though you'll see it all.
I wonder if she will have an English VA/tag throws/etc...? Haven't heard anything yet.

I imagine a lot of spinning in her cliffhanger... she'll do a tiny kong and just randomly start floating cause her twin tails...

I think she will, at least with Helena. I even think that there's a chance she'll get her own chapter in story mode (not only she). There are reasons to add new chapters: 6 new characters don't have their chapters and we will probably get new boss (for me adding to game boss character who's not boss doesn't make sense at all). I also don't believe it is random that in trailer SERVANT Marie fights with HELENA in LORELEI. Story mode is for me the main reason why normal Lorelei was added to game.
Well, consider this.
- Leon has no reason to enter tournaments anymore, as his story is pretty much complete.
- Ein has become Hayate.
- Jacky Bryant is a guest character and even though they appeared in Story Mode, Akira and Sarah were just cameos.
- There is no indication that Rachel and Momiji even entered the tournament or had any role in the overall story.
- Marie Rose is new, but I doubt TN will put in extra work to give her a chapter.

Are you referring to the six new characters? If so, then it's highly doubtful TN would make a new chapter for MR when the others didn't.
Maybe they are waiting to add them along with Marie's chapter? There are high chances they will add them when new 'boss' character will come.

I agree with @Jyakotu they most likely will not be adding chapters (nor should they). They might add some video for Marie Rose since she's completely unknown but TN already said 5's story was not getting any additions when the 5 new characters were introduced in 5U. I'm okay with that though as I'd rather them spend their resources on making more characters and stages. Save the story for 6.
