The Design Contest SSR's can be bought for 3K yen and you get both (even malfunction already included) and you can gift them to any girl. No stats, as they are cosmetic only.

Either her or Tamaki, since Tamaki did have history with Helena (and is implied to have ties to DOATEC).
I'd personally want Misaki, Luna, Fiona, Nagisa, and Monica to appear, but I wouldn't bet on them appearing (thanks to Honoka and Marie Rose treating DOA6 as their first meeting for some stupid reason). And it's a darn shame they won't appear, since I really wanted to see what Luna, Fiona, and Monica's nationalities are.

She's young. Nyotengu needs a boost in terms of links to the cast. She is the most requested.

Maybe, but on the other hand, we've also got Tamaki, as she's also fairly young (younger than Helena that is), she's got prior history to Helena and Marie Rose (would also boost links to the cast for Marie as well, since so far she's only got Helena and Honoka for links, maybe Ayane and Eliot if we're feeling particularly generous), and she is also pretty highly requested (in fact, all the DOAXVV girls were highly requested). As far as a fighting style, knowing her alcoholic personality, she could go for Brad Wong's drunken fighting style, maybe tweaked a bit to incorporate bouldering techniques.
And realistically, her early-established ties to Helena and Marie Rose are pretty much the only reason I even consider Tamaki as having any chance at DOA6 at all (I'd want all of the girls in, that is to say Misaki, Luna, Fiona, Nagisa, and Monica, if not in the first releases, then at the very least as add-ons, but as I said before, Shimbori pretty much ruined that chance after he just up and out had Marie Rose and Honoka just meeting each other for the first time in Dead or Alive 6, despite prior appearances by them starting with DOA5LR strongly implying if not outright stating that they were long-time friends before then).

Tamaki, I can probably see getting into DOA6 due to her at least having a connection to Helena and Marie Rose that predated Venus Vacation. Nagisa? Not so much. Heck, I'm doubtful any of the so-called "8teen loli girls" will get in either. And the reason I have my complete doubts about them appearing is because of the timeline, especially when going into DOA6. Misaki? Luna? Fiona? Nagisa? Monica? They all met the mainline girls for the first time in DOAXVV, were not known to have interacted with any of the characters before then, at least none of the girls, and DOAXVV, to say little about Last Round, made it very clear that Honoka and Marie Rose were long-time friends. Do I like it? Absolutely not! Actually, one reason I'm very angry with Shimbori's handling of DOA6 was that his choice to just have Honoka and Marie Rose meet each other for the first time in DOA6, completely ignoring the stuff shown as early as Honoka's debut in DOA5LR that indicated they're long-time friends, since, among other things, that essentially made any chance of any of the DOAXVV girls exempting maybe Kanna and Tamaki (if we're feeling particularly generous, we might also list Monica and/or Misaki, though only because those two were at least implied to have known Zack, the former due to his playing a key role in her career choice of becoming a casino dealer, and the latter because Zack's implied to be her boss in the main episodes) completely impossible, even if we were to go by DLC.

There's many things wrong with how Shimb handled DOA6's story, but what you refer aren't among them.
I'm really not a fan of derailing the comments by mentioning other fighting franchises, but you have one where intros are non-canon
That's almost what happened, Last Round quotes were only teasers of what to come! Plus, there wasn't
Regarding XVV, it's just all welcomed trivia, it still seems like it's a YOU problem, by overestimating its importance to the main games' story/stakes.
It doesn't seem like devs breaking or disregarding "canonicity"...
Bear in mind that DOA4 had Zack and even Kasumi's endings essentially acting as teasers for Xtreme (Zack's very obvious, him raiding a tomb with his squeeze to fund New Zack Island, while Kasumi's ending has the Gemstone Reef from DOAX2), not to mention DOAX1 is practically the reason Lisa and Nikki are even characters in the series, so I wouldn't dismiss DOAX's story elements like that. And besides, regarding story updates, let's not forget that Team Ninja was also the company responsible for Hyrule Warriors (which was released about half a year before Last Round), which also featured story updates for that game, story DLC as a matter of fact (from the top of my head, they were responsible for Cia's Tale and that story add-on with Linkle, aka the female Link-wannabe). If they can do that for Hyrule Warriors, they most certainly can do the same for Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate and Last Round, no questions asked, and no ifs, ands, or buts.

Yeah, I know they didn't, which is exactly one of my criticisms for Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate and Dead or Alive 5 Last Round (well, that, and their adding in DLC characters at all despite Hayashi explicitly stating in an interview regarding Street Fighter V that he would not resort to DLC fighters due to viewing it as cheap. There was even a meme about that bit, which had Marie Rose crying with a dollar sign and saying, and I quote, "Hayashi, you lying Ninja Dog! *Sob*"). I'm sorry, but when they're going to spend time adding in characters to the roster that weren't originally there (and I'm not just going by DLC characters, but also add-ons like Momiji and Rachel and Leon and the like that were pre-installed in-game), they might as well give them an actual story mode and NOT just a brief bio blurb on the official site. Probably the only add-on character, DLC or otherwise, who actually had any appearance in the actual story was Phase 4 due to her humiliation of Bayman and his unit. Dead or Alive 6 did slightly better in that regard, where they at least gave actual DLC story modes for Nyotengu, Phase 4 (kind of), Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond. Unfortunately, they didn't even give Momiji and Rachel story DLC when it was their turn. I know if I were in their situation, I would have made darn sure to make sure they at LEAST had story updates included into DOA5U and DOA5LR, maybe even actual story DLC as well, just to make sure the add-on characters had an actual role in the story line.
