Well, for starters, they mentioned that Leifang alongside the other classic DOA girls had a deep love among the audience, which was part of the reason (another reason besides obviously being highly requested was apparently to promote the then-recently announced Dead or Alive 6).

Why would they promote DOA6 with Leifang when they could've introduced the newcomer, flavor of the month, miss NiCO lol

Sayuri is so pretty! I would love to have her on the console version of DOAX3, but alas I think they are done supporting DOAX3.

I would love to have Sayuri or Kanna in DOA6 because of their roles. Sayuri could be applying for the nurse role for DOATEC or MIST as far as the main series is concerned. Kanna, being an oni, honestly makes more sense in the main game than in the gravure game. Haha

Idk if Sayuri will be the girl in DOA6 but if she is, that would be the perfect opportunity for TN to release the Nurse DLC in a revival pack and have it drop when she debuts but idk xD I think Sayuri would make the most sense to include since she's 24 and not a loli but she's still cute and shorter in stature so she's a good compromise of what western and Japanese players want imo. They'd just have to give her a redesigned nurse costume over her VV one so it's more battle oriented

Eh, I'm not entirely sure if Sayuri even KNOWS any of the fighting cast (of course, then again, I haven't really gotten an opportunity to actually translate her event episodes, so I might be mistaken), so I'm not entirely sure if Sayuri would work for that reason alone (let's not forget, thanks to DOA6 completely screwing up Honoka and Marie Rose's friendship regarding when they started becoming friends, it's implied DOAXVV takes place AFTER DOA6). At least Kanna and Tamaki were established to have prior history with at least one of the mainline fighters, and even Misaki and Monica were implied to have previously interacted with Zack. And yeah, Tamaki being included would actually make for a very nice continuity nod if they have her interact with Tina (especially given Tina's former status as a model). I'm not sure Tamaki had any superstar elements to her, though, since modeling was the only real profession she had besides wardrobe stuff.

Speaking of Misaki, I'll probably tolerate her inclusion despite it possibly contradicting timeline stuff regarding the mainline girls under one condition only: If she's in the game, she'd BETTER be the reason why the mainline girls decide to head over to the Venus Islands in Venus Vacation. That's the ONLY reason I'll accept her (well, technically, I'm willing to accept her or any of the girls, but thanks to DOA6's continuity screwup with Honoka and Marie Rose, among other things, I'm forced to limit the girls to just Tamaki and Kanna due to those girls actually having prior connections to the fighting girls that actually are in DOAXVV). I've practically given up on Luna thanks largely to the continuity hiccups of DOA6, especially when none of the girls even KNEW Luna before DOAXVV (at most, she'll have to wait until DOA7, if we ever get that game anyway).

As far as Monica and Fiona, to be fair, Monica actually seems to be familiar with Zack (she mentioned a sunglasses-wearing smiling man basically telling her upon winning loads of poker chips that casinos are where people's dreams come true, which evidently had a tremendous impact on Monica's later career decision), so she could actually get in to DOA6 for that reason. And for Fiona, eh, if Lisa Hamilton could get in to the fighting roster and, heck, even become a key member of DOATEC despite it technically not making any sense at all (it's extremely unlikely that she would have fallen for Zack's hoax about a new tournament on Zack Island in the first place due to her being fairly high up in DOATEC's ranks, being one of its chief researchers. At least with Helena, you could argue that her technical status as a puppet CEO at the time kept her in the dark), I'm pretty sure Fiona could get in.

As far as Sayuri or Kanna in DOA6, Kanna I can buy getting in due to her past connection to Nyotengu. Sayuri... like I said, unless she's had past interactions with one of the mainline fighters pre-debut, whether it be one of the fighting girls actually included in DOAXVV or, heck, even Zack, I don't buy her being included (mostly because DOA6 already screwed up continuity with having Marie Rose and Honoka meeting for the first time ever in DOA6, despite being established since the latter's debut in DOA5LR to be BFFs since at least the fifth tournament, among other things).

If she has any past connections to either the fighting girls in DOAXVV or Zack, then sure, they can add her in. Otherwise, I wouldn't even bother with her inclusion in DOA6 even though I REALLY want her and the other girls to get in (their screwing up Honoka and Marie Rose's interactions in DOA6, and to a lesser extent Nyotengu's interactions with Ayane and Ryu Hayabusa's interactions alone pretty much destroyed any chance of any DOAXVV girl appearing unless they have a direct connection to one of the fighting girls or even Zack).

Because I'm responding to three different posts. Though yeah, probably should have only mentioned it twice due to it being two different people I was responding to.

Okay, I verified that Sayuri has NOT met any of the girls on the island prior to arriving there, meaning she is NOT likely to know anyone on the island, at least none who are also in DOA6. Now, that being said, I'll be waiting until her character episodes get unveiled one by one and see if she alludes to Zack in them (I know that Misaki and Monica at least are very much aware of Zack based on some key statements they made).

On that note, apparently more information via datamines came out, and Sayuri is NOT the girl who's coming into DOA6, and in fact, none of the current roster is the upcoming crossover girl for DOA6.

have to say I'm not putting much stock in those datamines then, It just seems more likely to me that it would be one of the current girls, especially if it turns out this vv girl is coming to doa6 in season 4.

To be fair, when Lisa debuted in DOAXBV, she wasn't a fighter either, yet they still got her into the roster. If they can do it with Lisa, they most certainly can do the same with the others. And quite frankly, it's way too late to exclude DOAX characters from the mainline DOA franchise. Once they added Lisa in, they've forfeited any right to exclude any other girls into the fighting roster.

Besides, Luna at least might qualify as a fighter, especially when one of her debut event episodes had her training with Hitomi regarding Karate (third episode, more specifically):

And let's not forget Tamaki, who is affiliated with DOATEC and thus most likely IS a fighter.

And let's not forget that Lisa technically was weird regarding motivations for even being in a DOA tournament especially when she's pretty much more of a researcher. Yes, she does technically have an excuse of basically being the "Sheik" of DOA (having two differing personas in other words), but even still... And don't forget NiCO, either, who's much of the same (and unlike Lisa completely lacks having a dual identity as an excuse to participate or even be a fighter). Heck, Helena, an opera singer and heiress, being a fighter would have been weird as well, and let's not forget Marie Rose, who's little more than Helena's butler. Besides, they can easily say she entered the tournament to gain funds to create her own casino. Motivation solved regarding participating in a tournament.

And besides, who says they have to participate in the tournament to be fighters? Last I checked, Kasumi, Ayane, Hayate, and Ryu haven't even participated in a tournament since... well, since the one time they actually won a tournament, and Marie Rose and Honoka never participated either (certainly not in the sixth tournament, and not for lack of trying either in Honoka's case). Heck, Christie and Lisa aren't even prevalent in the tournaments lately either. And NiCO certainly never participated, and the most Nyotengu got was a half-time match due to gatecrashing. Last I checked, all of them were fighters DESPITE never actually participating in the tournament lately (heck, not even participating at ALL in NiCO's case).

Yeah, agreed. And besides, a nurse who is a fighter isn't even slightly odd. In fact, the whole reason why male nurses exist was a way to allow combat medics to put their medical skills to good use after a war. Not to mention, there's even a term for nurses who engage in combat, and I even just mentioned the term earlier: Combat medics.

Same goes for the other DOAXVV girls, leaving them out was completely stupid, as were the reasons for leaving them out (so, let me get this straight, by that logic, Lisa shouldn't even BE in the DOA mainline series as a fighter, since she too also debuted, NOT in a fighting game, but a beach vacation simulator spinoff. Is that right?).

That's mostly because development problems had Nyotengu being pushed back to an add-on for the Day One release for DOA6.
