I think Sayuri is really beautiful. I love the double mole under her eye. I came back to this game after an extended break (taking long breaks is the only way I can avoid absolutely despising this game). I got Kanna when I came back from the 2nd Anniversary Gacha and I actually really like her and how much of a loudmouth goblin she is (I know she's an Oni - I mean more in personality traits she is like a D&D goblin). Still no Nagisa or Monica for me, though.
I also do NOT understand what's going on with the Delcobromides and using the pens and shit. Even the explanations on reddit make no sense.
I also think that, according to the stats that they showed during the DOA Festival, that Leifang did not make them as much money as the new girls do. That's why Christie, Rachel, and Mila were scrapped and they are just going with new girls. Unless all the whales complain about not having Tina (who is the best possibility for a legacy girl), they definitely aren't going to listen to non-Japanese FTP players. I kind of expect they may try out Tina down the road as a legacy girl, and if she makes more money than Leifang did, they will maybe try Nico, but I definitely don't think they will ever have Lisa or Christie in the game. Which sucks because Christie is my fave. Getting my hopes up to see the old girls every month just seems like a waste of energy at this point, though. I'm more hoping for a new girl that isn't pale, or a KPop idol type girl, which is probably far more likely.
And Sayuri is definitely Japanese. Her name is in Hiragana. If she were Korean or even half, her name would be in Katakana like Hitomi.
Yeah, I doubt Leifang got bad sales. Let's not forget that the commentary for why they created/added several characters, when explaining Leifang, specifically noted that she had been highly requested, and in fact, the audience had a very deep love for the classic DOA girls that arguably exceeded the new girls. Nowhere did they ever indicate that she got bad sales. If anything, they came closer to indicating that Kanna got a bad reception by specifically stating to the audience that they level her up regardless of her more petulant nature. I'm pretty sure if they wanted to indicate Leifang bombed, they would have specifically noted it. And besides, Luna apparently didn't do too hot, as did Kanna (in fact, because of Kanna, DOAXVV actually dropped down from the top 3. If that was a reason to cancel the old girls, that would have been a reason to just stop adding characters altogether).

Yeah the little beauty marks/mole under her eye is a nice detail, Not sure how anyone is having any kind of problem with how she looks that they'd consider her unattractive, I think she's really pretty. And yeah I'm just guessing at this point that she is just fully Japanese. I am hoping that at some point one of the new girls will have dark skin since every new girl so far has had light skin and so the change would be nice but still regardless they are all gorgeous. Really a shame though If there's very likely not much chance at this point of getting other old girls like Lisa and Christie in the game.
I wouldn't necessarily say "unlikely." If anything, Sakuta D strongly implied the possibility in both the interview and his coverage of Leifang that they will add in the other cut girls, at the very least Tina, Christie, and Lisa.
