Team NINJA Social Media Updates for DOA6

I can't move on just yet. Mainly because the social media updates are just "Which character do you like more?" And also because the misunderstandings are accumulating on top of each other. It's more about clearing up the misunderstandings than anything.

This isn't a language misunderstanding because he claimed it in a Japanese interview. I will put it again:
No, I'm saying that you are using the wrong words to express what you want to say. I'm guessing it's because English may not be your first language. You did imply that they worked on the 3D costumes before EVO. That's not what you meant. But that's what you typed.

You said that they changed the defaults after listening to EVO. They couldn't change the defaults because the "defaults" didn't exist yet in 2017. The alts didn't exist. None of it existed. And they change the defaults every game. They didn't "change their mind" because their minds weren't made up yet. This is important because no one really knows what all went on behind the scenes. Shimbori doesn't say in the interview「途中で変えた」(we changed it midway through) or anything. They just took feedback and decided what to do for DOA6 after that.

What you meant was that they went in a different direction from previous games, and no one is saying that's wrong. They did. We all know they did. They said that they did. But, you're also saying that how the costume images are laid out is showing that they decided to go in a different direction mid-development, due to EVO 2017 feedback, when it's not. It doesn't show that. Just because something is in the first slot in the image section doesn't mean that it was going to be the default costume. If it was, that would mean that Tina's C2 from DOA5 was going to be her default in DOA6 before they "changed it". But, because it's no sexier (probably even less sexy than her actual DOA6 default), there would have been no reason to change it. If they changed it, they chose a sexier outfit, which goes against your point.

Kokoro's DOA5 outfit doesn't just not show cleavage, it covers her arms and you can't really see her legs either unless you do certain kicks or try to upskirt her during the lose pose. And it has no physics. They changed it to an outfit that shows her arms, cleavage, stomach, and has physics. They probably wouldn't have changed it from DOA5 if the goal was to be less sexy. It doesn't make sense. (I'm pretty sure the physics on Lisa's and Tina's costumes are the same, but I will fully admit to not checking, so I may be wrong.)

Kasumi blue costume isn't weirdly placed, same with Honoka cow shirt costume. You think that because you think your row theory is true, that it's some kind of rule. If your row theory were true, then Kasumi blue costume should be placed at 003 but ... just happens she has four DOA5 costumes, same with Honoka, so your row theory can never be applied.
Nah, it's weirdly placed. Few people would think of the blue being a wholly different costume from the white and black variants. Just like with Honoka's sweater. It is different. But, not different enough. The same with people thinking Diego doesn't really have 2 cotumes.

And I'm saying that because it's not at 003 that the blue is weirdly placed. If they had done it properly, it would look more like Honoka's chart. Saying the "top row" was just another way of me saying the first 3 costumes. Minus Kasumi's blue outfit which is weirdly out of place, it looks like all of the DOA5 outfits were slotted in first. They were probably also completed for the game first because they could reuse the assets. And then, the new costumes were put in the grid as they were completed. I think that makes the most sense.

When I say it was coded weird, I mean that the reference order doesn't match the order that they put into the character select screen. Which is what you're talking about. They would've had to code all the list references as 4, 1, 6, 2, 3, 5 to match the chart instead of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. But, I'm saying that the reason it's weird is just them being dumb/lazy/rushed about it, and not that something happened in development that made them change what the defaults were because of EVO 2017. In Summer 2017, they would have barely started on DOA6.

I can be on topic. Look. lol

How Aya,e had more likes than Kasumi has retweets is ,fustrating, but its whatever

And tbh I don't think kokoro's outfit in DOA6 was meant to be sexy, at least to me.( a small chest opening and arms showing and stomach isnt truly sexy to me unless it's a guy) I think rhya changed it from her kimono since the kimono isn't really a fighter type outfit so they changed it to something that seemed more sensible and practical to fight in. And Tina's outfit in DOA5 with the beanie isn't really fighter imo either, I always thought that was casual wear

We all know who the best sister has always been. lol

I'm just saying in the spectrum of "not sexy" to "sexy", Kokoro's DOA6 outfit would probably be further down the line. Not that it's really super sexy on its own. If someone were to complain about one of them, they would pick the current one and not the kimono.

Really, I'm guessing they changed the outfits mainly to have it not be the same. But, they've also said in interviews that they wanted something that really embodied the characters. Kasumi isn't really a flirty person, more all-business, Hitomi is a karateka, etc. Obviously, Tina is going to get something a wrestler would wear and not just jeans and a hat.

Just to clarify and move on of topic in this thread.

Yep, English isn't my native language. What I meant is in conception phase (even before choosing a engine to work with), they had their own image and then they changed it. First in EVO 2017 and later on with public feedback about trailers and gameplay from stands in events.

About Kasumi blue costume and Honoka high school costumes. I always saw both blue and white Kasumi costumes as different costumes. Artistically they look really alike and they are basically the same concept but geometrically both of them are two separate models with different polygon count so they treat them like that.

About Honoka high school alt version. It's basically a "off coat" alt but there are two main differences that makes it different enough. This alt has cloth damage unlike the coat version. The second one is breast physics, it has less restrictive vertical jiggles. So behavior-wise they treat them as separate costumes because they are two different models.

I’d barely call this “””unfinished”””. All they have to do is copy over the old voice clips and remove the umbrella. I was expecting something crazy lol
They also need to work in her facial expressions but let's see what happens in next patch.

This will be the last month with more intros and outros so if they don't add all that are missing for all other characters ... maybe we will have to wait until season pass 2 because June will be for KOF collab.

This SC VI fifth DLC from its season pass is just amazing, 150 CaS parts (they promised around 100 for the whole season pass), 97 song pieces and new free content.

Bamco is releasing for this season pass way more content they promised when they announced it.

Then SNK announced early customers will get Samurai Spirits season pass for free:

Kei just should learn how to make their customers happy, that will bring more sales in the long run.

Almost nothing in those screenshots is actually new outside of like 1 piece each lmao and even then they're reselling pieces from the old games. Not even new stuff, say what you want about DOAs DLC, lazy, overcharged(not really) or whatever but at least it's new stuff and they didn't charge you £5-£10 to use old music like SC6 does.

DOA just needs to hold their horses on these monthly costume packs, that's what makes everything seem so expensive. Usually FGs drip feed DLC.

Tira (5€), 2B (6€), Amy (6€) and a fourth DLC character (most likely another 6€). Season Pass price = 30€ (4 characters + new story arcs + CaS piezes + songs).

They are giving these piezes for almost ... nothing. Well, in fact they are already giving free CaS sets.

If Koei had to price several DOA5LR costumes, how much do you think it would cost?, we all know it, a lot more, because SC V already had bridal and tuxedo DLC costumes and they didn't cost 40€ unlike they do in DOA 6. Hell, they are even giving these same wedding costumes for free for SC VI:

It's almost like Bamco wants to tell something to Koei.

Someone at Playstation knew about this joke lol Hopefully they didn't do it out of spite, but for the lulz. I like the idea of someone in an official capacity recognizing DOA6's social media impact lmfao

Any sign of ""YEAH! I'm gonna rock you!" from Tina? Since they're just hamfisting DOA5 animations and dialogue over I assume we'll be getting all of the old ones back and no new ones?

Is any of that even new, or is it just reused SC4 and SC5 stuff?

Double post but:

Did they really write this?
