The way damage scales off walls makes the option pointless. Risking getting held for only slightly more damage is not worth it. This is just going to cause confusion and inconsistency.
That was only a small sample, I'm sure the damage will show more with other tech. Be positive :)

Exactly. Everything did basically the same damage so why do the holdable splat?

Im hoping the damage scaling will be buffed all around as well. The damage scaling is literally the only thing irking me about the game so far, cuz everything else is good with me. Dont be like SFV and scale everything to oblivion

Bound -> Break Blow Cancel -> Any extra shenanigans afterward might not make it entirely pointless? Maybe? I’m hoping everyone gets at least one decent bound because it could work as a good way to get more damage in different situations. With that being said the damage scaling does seem kinda excessive but at the same time that video didn’t really make it a priority to use optimal damaging combos. I say give it some time since nobody’s had a chance to play around with this and good things MIGHT come out of this change... I hope.

I mean, Im not really tripping hard on the damage scaling yet. The games not out yet, there's still work that can be done before the "Vanilla" build and Im sure if enough people bring it up, it will be addressed. All in all, nothing can kill my hype for DOA6

Now aint that the truth! We’re getting good daily updates and teases, a demo is heavily implied if not flat-out confirmed to be happening soon, and the game itself is coming out in a month. DOA6 could end up playing like a whole mess (unlikely :p ) and TN will still be getting all my coins because gameplay-wise it’s looking great (besides a couple slight graphical issues but shhhh)

I can hardly keep my eyes away from TN and DOA6 Twitter. Always excited about the next piece of information.

I'm guessing maybe we will get the demo date tomorrow or the announcement of it. They don't seem to reveal anything too big on weekends, but they are definitely leading up to something.

It's always good in my book to see gameplay being discussed. I see why some people are upset, but I'm waiting for more demonstrations before I give a verdict.

cause it is just a small sample,clearly there's much more dangerous potential damage in this wall reset.
in DOA6,YOU CAN'T SLOW ESCAPE,and there are unholdable Fatal moves too,so every wall reset gonna be terrible for defenders

None of that has anything to do with the fact that damage scaling is really severe atm.

Well it was mostly normal hit and you don’t know the settings of the health. Maybe you should stop with the pessimistic attitude.

I'm not being pessimistic....I'm going by what's being shown, and what's being shown is not good.

Today could be the day that they'll drop the release date for the demo! ^.^ I hope it's announced by tomorrow since psn updates on Tuesdays so if it's not this week we'll probably have to wait next week or later....
