Consoles will never rival pc's in power....but that doesn't change the fact that they are more simplistic in nature. PC market is a niche market. Majority of people who game on pc's are playing on toasters and find the experience of consoles cheaper and better, ESPECIALLY given the current nature of PC gaming getting stupid expensive.
I don't really care what your preference is. I'm just stating the reality that PC game sales will never out pace consoles.
300,000 Tekken 7 PC -- not even 500,000 for XBOX
10-20 years ago that would have been 750,000 on XBOX and 15,000 on PC . PC is getting a lot closer, and since you have a 3,000 dollar rig; you should know that better than anybody. If console gaming keeps going down the route of screwing the customer and censoring shit, I don't see it lasting like it has or it being cost effective for the price they are asking for bells and whistles we get for free on PC. I don't own a 3,000 dollar PC, and I don't need it be 10x stronger than a PS4.
I will say that your argument would have been more valid in 2004, but you can't use the same argument today. I was also at that point a console guy. Not to mention as a game collector I own nearly every console ever made in case another odd biased card is played against me this week, and since we think it's fair to mention what we own as a part of validating the argument.
