This was probably the most bizarre and forgettable TGS yet considering everything was shown already at the Direct and State of Play. TGS is never good anyway, I guess.

Also NG4 was there and had the most hands-on gameplay over there at TGS due to release on the way in October. TGS this year was decent, but by no means is the worst event.

PAX reveals - No DOA? dammit, bad event
Summer Game Fest - No DOA?? dammit, bad event
EVO - No DOA??? dammit, FGC is bad.
Game Awards - No DOA again?? dammit, bad event


Then again, I play multiple games so it doesn't affect me.

It is certainly possible for DOA to be revealed at minor events or any of Sony's or Xbox's dedicated events, however the gaming industry for all these companies doesn't revolve around DOA either so expectations were very low this year in general. DOA doesn't even have a producer nor director so I avoid the copium expectation at EVERY event, which is what gfg$ did. It's unhealthy personally.

I've been saying the world doesn't revolve around DOA for years. I still thought it was a mid TGS lol. KT could have showed more than the difficulty mode thing for NG, but fine you win you win. I'm not trying to start anything with ya brother.
bruh why does the combat in the new Silent Hill game feel like Dark Souls? Instead of being scared of monster encounters I'm out here wanting all the smoke and I doubt that is the intended Silent Hill experience :/

Probably a hot take on my end, but I just watched a friend finish the game from start to finish and I thought it was mid lol. Not just the combat, but the output of it.

Then again, maybe i'm also just tired of games based on Japan for like the 200th time while they slap the Silent Hill logo on it.

the connection to Silent Hill is so tenuous that it's hard to shake the feeling that they just slapped "Silent hill" on the game for recognition (apparently the drugs used in the cult of Silent Hill 1 originated from the town in Silent Hill f)

Thematically it has alot of Silent Hill's dna in it's story, but hell this could have been a Fatal Frame Crimson Butterfly spinoff and no one would have batted an eye

Not yet, im on 10 till I have to update but I hope upgrading will probably make the issue go away since it loves to pop up when im playing something and it can sometimes screw up the FPS xD
being able to lab Powerstone in 2025 has been such a trip, who knew this party game from my youth actually has tech, combos, OS's, and infinites which are banned in competitive lol
Really cool to see a Code Vein II releasing early next year. The first game is DOPE! Interested to see how the co-op will be in it.

my Wishlist for this game

1. balance endgame equipment so not every build is using the same gear pieces
2. buff swords and guns
3. make hammers and polearms more consistent

also kind of a bummer that despite this being a sequel it's not connected to the first game at all, which is weird considering the first game ended on a cliffhanger :/
I think im gonna like VF6's more stun based combo system, it's actually more like irl imo since thats more how fights work, you strike till you get a critical hit and then you go ham while your victim is recovering from the initial blow. More FGs need that as a sub "guaranteed" damage thing like DOA & SC have
So, how we feelin' about VF6's locational damage mechanic and stun combos replacing juggles?

I'm loving it personally. I've always been on the fence about air juggling combos in 3DFGs tbh. They're not all new ideas but the combination of them in VF feels fresh and they're daring to shake things up so it's only making me more excited for the game. Uprising Mode also sounds interesting, and there's always the Traditional Mode to fall back on if that doesn't catch on.
