Let's hope this is true ! DOA6 definitely needs more stages. I stopped playing the game only a few weeks after its launch because, for me, it's the DOA game with the worst stages selection. I have no fun fighting in these arenas. I have the feeling that TN didn't put any love in the creation of its stages.

Anyway, I m not sure that adding only one stage can change the whole thing (for me, TN should add at least 5 old great stages to balance this awful stage selection), but I'm still curious to see this Gion stage.

Where did you get that info from?
Because that implementation would be near impossible. All story cutscenes are videos, not actual real-time game graphics. That's why the cutscenes are even on PC so low resolution and aliased. In videos you obviously can't choose your prefered costume and hairstyle. You'd need an unlimited number of videos for all combinations, which means huge volumes of data.

If you are referring to this Movie Mode, it sounds more like the mode in DOA5, where you were able to view outros of characters.

I think it's so charming, though - Tina's horrific affinity for Engrish is part of her appeal, and I think the all-American archetype is better executed that way than by giving her a southern accent, anyway.

Using stilted and borderline-mocking Engrish is supposed to be a good execution of an all-American character? Certainly the first time I've heard that take. It's pretty much used in anime as a running gag to make fun of foreigners.

Not a fan. Removing that dumb anime trope is one of the pluses of the English voices, in my view.

This might be the pessimist in me coming out but I think Gian might just be an early name for Miyabi (please prove me wrong though TN, we need more stages badly >.>)

I wonder what else lies hidden deep within the game? I love reading about unused stuff in video games lol

but there's a long loading time before you can watch a scene , mine is ps4 pro btw..could it be loading a lot of stuff

even modder can do that in DOA5 story mode.

If you open the leaked images you can see that Miyabi and Hidden Garden are also listed as stage names, so Gion seems to be its own stage. However it would look very close to the back part of Myabi:

Maybe it is a section of the stage they cut or that they are planning to add.

I would like it to be a Kyoto in bloom remaster, since that stage has some verticality, something we are missing but let's see what is and more importantly, when will they finish all this because all this maybe will come after this "season 1" and being worked for the "season 2", as "free content" meanwhile they release season passs 2 DLCs.

Unfortunatly i ask Master and he said no . I wanted that for 5 ,too . They never updated it . So my Hopes are Low for 6

They will bring back Leon, Gen Fu, Momiji, Rachel, tag team, team battle, retro stages, that's for sure. Don't worry.

I really began to wonder what happened for me to lose interest so quickly in this game, what happened from the first announcement until now ? As I thought about it, it became necessary for me to put all this in a table. (I'm weird, yes) And I've realized how every single news (or every social media update - link to the thread!) has been a source of disappointment over the months. Let me show you this: (Hey, this is just MY personal opinion)

Now, I just hope, sincerely, that TN can improve the future of this game.
