  • I appreciate how smart and character-appropriate the "sexy" (non-DLC) DOA costumes are. There's actually a lot of variety.
    - Christie appropriately dresses like a femme fatale
    - Leifang wears a tacky, super-revealing dress because she's rich but actually doesn't have much class
    - Tina paid good money for those boobs and she's going to show 'em off
    - Honoka knows you're starting at her chest and will weaponize that

@Force_of_Nature Really when you think about how ninjas are supposed to be sneaky and hard to find, only Kasumi is ever shown to be good at that. The other ninjas are super loud and want to explode things all the time.

Hayabusa's the biggest offender since he literally always dresses like a cartoon ninja, even when he's at the grocery store buying pop tarts.

Lol, Hayabusa doesn't even engage in stealth in Ninja Gaiden. "Stealth? Pffft... Stealth is for suckers! *Proceeds to hack at everything in his way instead*".

"I practice the secretive arts of the ninja, which includes throwing fireballs and hitting cars with a giant hammer I took from a demon."
I can’t imagine what it’s like to be angry about video games all day.
What would be the worst guest character for DOA6? I’m thinking either Chester Cheetah or Al Gore.

Al Gore would do Krav Maga.
Has DOA6 made you want to pick up characters you didn’t really play before (aside from the new people, obviously)?

I’ve always mained Helena and then Kokoro, but after playing and seeing 6, I really want to spend time on Honoka.
I really wish every DOA6 Fighter had a base costume that represented their fighting style. Like, a lot do like Hitomi with her Karate gi, but I wish Rig had a Taekwondo dobok and Helena and Kokoro had traditional Chinese silks. Has Zack ever had a folk-style Muay Thai outfit? That would be rad.
Is Kokoro the only woman in DOA6 who gets buff arms? We need more, gimme dem muscles, don’t fear the thiccness.

Don't laugh but I'm self-taught Shorin-ryu. I've been told by muay-thai and judo artists that my form isn't bad and have a very good roundhouse for someone who doesn't take up the arts. You hear the wind with my punches. I would love to take up martial arts but there is a serious lack of Karate or the traditional okinawan forms_ just alot of tae kwon do and mma. I don't want people's sweaty ass on me lol

Kokopuffs' tone-age looks hot. Would love to see that definition on the DOA ladies (well except Marie or Honoka, they're still children). The martial arts training they do would tone them up nicely and, they're mostly below 30 so they got dem strong metabolisms.

What’s funny is there used to be more muscularity/variety with the women. In DOA3, Tina actually had abs, but by 4-5 everyone got softened up. Hopefully DOA6 takes things back in that direction.
When is DOA finally going to have a Bagua character? You’ve got Xingyi with Eliot and Tai Chi with Leifang, the set’s not complete without a Bagua person!

I’ve heard people say that it’s because they don’t want to rip off Xiaoyu, but Xiaoyu does Pigua too and she certainly doesn’t play like Helena.

Don't Baji practitioners also implement Pigua to an extent in their training? I recall Akira have a Pigua move in VF4. 2P+KP, I think. I just call it flappy arms.

@Hold_Junkie93 yeah Baji and Pigua share some moves because they’re so often practiced together. And the fun thing about Bagua is that it’s meant to be mixed with other styles, so there’s a lot of possible variations you could have with that kind of character.
Following fan responses to DOA6's development has been interesting. I had no idea that so many people dissected the graphics, often frame-by-frame, and would be bothered by how someone's hair falls or the resolution of the backgrounds. People can like games however they want, that's fine, but I just didn't expect that to be more important to some people than talking about the fighting mechanics and game features.

Look at you guys. We got successful ass mofos here on FSD. I'm proud of that honestly. Doesn't help my self esteem in the slightest.

Going back to the status post. Don't expect pages being overflowed with tech like how we did back in vanilla, 5U, LR for FSD. Some people will find tech but some won't post in the forums anymore because it's not overly active sadly. Forums will have new people asking questions obviously, but digging into these characters once more might be a choir for some apparently.

Regardless, will still find tech for DOA6 (Discord is the new trend since not many want to go back to this site, which is lame but it is what it is and I don't blame them for not returning here).
