    so either my timing is just bad, or all of Laura's fancy resets lose to mashed jab, might as well go for damage + knockdown at that point.

    Which resets? The EX fireball ones? I usually go st mk dash cancel st hp lol tends to beat out lp mashers and gives me a free crush counter lol gotta time it though. Once they're scared to attack, start throwing out her +frames for pressure or go in for command throws.

    yeah, those ones, i know you can switch it up with cr hp dash cancel or cr mp dash cancel for same side/different side mix ups, but every time i do it end up getting jabbed out or eating a dp. guess it's a timing thing but until i get it im just going for knockdown in fireball mix up.

    I think depending on what you do leading to firepall you can get a hp elec fist? Naturally a dp beats out stuff on wake up but if you predict it, free crush counter again haha.

    remember kids, just cuz you saw it in a combo vid doesn't mean it's practical

    depends. There are combos that are viable and some that are clearly just for show. Combo videos tend to have a mix of both but most vids tend to have the practical options included anyway.

    so apparenly pokken has a DOA-like strike/throw/counter triangle system, now this is getting interesting

    2 hours into the division and i just realized the only enemies i've run into are black guys in hoodies and snapbacks :/

    Some of the characters there are actually white as well. You'll also encounter Cleaners which are enemies who carry flamethrowers.

    I complain about nyo not having any good tick throw setups, but gen fu doesn't have any either, and i grab with that guy all day

    Not really. Your best follow-up is the OH anyway, which will make you dash forward even as you buffer it (66T).

    Or you can hang Back and poke with 3K. The cool thing about Nyotengu is you can player her like Momiji. 7P all day everyday :)

    meh, 66t does have good range, but it does such measly damage (40 on NH, 60 on CH) that it's not even worth it. but it it is good to throw out every now and then to get you opponents crouching, then boom, CH mids all day

    seems like every time i fight Eliot i get hit with all the 66p+k's

    his best move? i guess, hella distance, mid, plus on block. it has hella start up though but i feel like because i don't fight enough eliots im not looking for it when im in it's range, hence y i get hit with it all the time

    The funny thing about that move is that even though its technically alil slow.... The Animation is discrete, with most of its start up having Eliot getting ready to lunge forward.

    Its funny.... alot of the things that make Eliot dangerous are mostly in how the Animations work.

    i was playing kitana, who does reasonably well against most of the mk9 cast, but mileena is just one of those characters kitana can't do shit against.

    and yeah of kung lao, sonya, cyrax, kabal, and kenshi pretty much ruled mk
