    @Awesmic I don't see it as gate keeping for the simple fact they show 0 interest in considerng the game in a competitive light in the slightest. If I see someone genuinely interest, I won't shut them down at all. If they win, I'll encourage them. Those other guys are vermin and a disdain for our rep. Are we going to let pedos near a school because it's bad for them? Nope. There should be a line drawn.

    Like Rikuto said, don't associate w/ 'em and it doesn't do harm to us. If anything, they're gatekeeping our game from striving with real players that would otherwise have interest in getting to at least understand FGs. We're losing good traction. Period. DoA doesn't have luxury in numbers like SF/Tek to simply sweep it under the rug as something we can keep pretending doesn't exactly do a bit of harm.

    That said, "What's weird for us v them" is figurative in nature. I'm not up for creating a social construct that isn't necessary to withhold a greater, "Good" We got to face reality sometime.

    I don’t get why Mai is deemed “too sexy” for smash. I find it really strange anyway that it’s always female characters that are deemed too sexy.

    The team could add Mai in if she was wearing her Real Bout Fatal Fury outfit (because that covered her boobs). Problem is that outfit did not appear in the KOF universe, so fans and SNK Team already establish her in the iconic 1996-2003 outfit.

    Male characters aren't designed to cater to the female/gay male gaze - as in, they're rarely intentionally designed to be sexy. Can they have an attractive face? Sure. But their overall character designs typically aren't made to be revealing in a sexual manner (or at least not INTENDED to be) considering that straight males are mainly both designing the characters and playing the games they're in.

    (2/2) When most people see a shirtless guy wearing only shorts we typically don't scream "fanservice!!" but if the gender was flipped many would claim that the character is sexualized so there's definitely a double standard . Also, Mai is an extreme case, as she's wearing a thong (I think that's the biggest issue, not even the cleavage). Giving her shorts would probably be way too obvious of a censor attempt.

    I wish Okatsu from Nioh and Tifa would make it in DOA. These are the only female characters I would like after Rachel.

    For the people that have lived under a rock and haven’t played Nioh before, it’s the free PS+ game for November. Outlast 2 is also the free PS+ game available November 5th.

    I bet you don’t even use him. I wouldn’t have complained about his GB’s if his movement or move kit was balancing it out. He needs buffs.

    I've toyed around with him to learn the matchup. He's fine. not every character has to be stupid broken. I'd rather see all the top tier characters get nerfed down to reality.

    It's even stated in the contest rules that no costume that won a prize in past contests can be resubmitted.
    But I guess many don't read the contest rules and just spam TN with everything they made over the past years. :/
