Well at this point in time, I'm uncertain over what's next for Dead or Alive. So I guess I will put this up and see where everyone's mindset is whenever there's a new DOA game. I have a couple general things I can put on my wishlist and I'll just put it simply:

DOA 6:U
Modes
1. Expanded story (Momiji, Rachel, & Tamaki arcs)
2. Improved A.I. fixes
3. Online Dojo (If it's not in there. I forgot)
4. No disbanding lobbies after the host leaves
5. Expanded combo challenge (Combo challenges for different weight classes for example)
6. Fixes on free training (Sometimes training mode freezes for a period of time)
7. Tag (But w/ some gameplay changes)

Gameplay
1. Expansion of the SS game (Make meter SSA 2 bars and then after put a regular SSA that doesn't incorporate invincibility frames. Use the 22,88 input)
2. Meter throwbreaks (At least start somewhere w/ throwbreaks. Cost 1 bar meter. Doesn't work if you hold or Not enough recovery frames.)
3. Less combo crazy environmental stages.
4. More + frame moves on normal hit.
5. Balances accordingly.
6. No 6-7 frame input delay.

Characters
1. No more Marie/Honoka/Nico/Kula builds
2. A boxer would always be welcome
3. Return of Ein
4. Arrival of Tifa

DOA 7
modes
1. Story improvement (No Marie/Honoka Dora the explorer type stuff. focus mainly on Ninja's, Rig, & bring back the importance of tournament)
2. Improved A.I.
3. Online co-op (Something similar to like GranBlue or Tekken 6)
4. Online team battle (Like how we would be seeing in the offline situations)
5. Expanded customization (w/o paying for hair and such)
6. Everything else from DOA 6: Ultimate
7. Tournament mode w/ tournament features

Gameplay
1. NO METER
2. Stagger escape returning
3. Improvement of the ground game (DOA 6 now is alright but lets expand on it.
4. Introduction to throwbreaks (No throwbreak on holds, if player doesn't have enough recovery, wrong input, offense hold during strike, etc)
5. Expansion of free step
6. Rollback netcode (If not implemented by DOA 6: U)
7. 3 n under frame input lag if anything
8. (My own personal aspect) No more i9, i10, i11 (Optional)
9. Expansion on players tracking abilities.
10. More focus on the neutral game
11. No death combo environmental stages

Character
1. Marie/Honoka gone and erased from existence
2. Expansion on the ninja's (Shiden, Ayame, etc)
3. A boxer (If not introduced by now)
4. A wing chun (NOT LIKE LEROY SMITH)
5. (My own personal) Tifa (If not introduced by now)
6. (My own personal) Return of VF's
7. No Mai or Kula or any 2D

That's about it for my own personal wishlist for now. I guess I thought through this thinking of the other games and seeing what they did right and seeing how DOA can expand on itself. What do you guys have as personal wishlists for DOA 6: U or DOA 7. This was long but since it's a wishlist, I guess this was the best I can do.

1. The people who wanted "cool and mature DOA, make characters less sexualized" for DOA6, were not handling DOA franchise wound up creating a new IP for that "idea"
2. Don't make DOA for FGC/eSports/International audience in mind, focus on the crowd that loves sex appeal (make the game available only Japan & Asia)
3. DOA Outfit Selection should be in line with DOA5LR mixed with DOAXVV Trendy & Star SSR Outfits (from old to new)

As long as there's major game changes, DOA5LR level content, and we don't have to pay for hair color changes or old 'revival' costumes I'm down with whatever

Also bring Naotora back and add the story mode stages xD

For DOA6U:
  1. Hair colour change option for all characters and hairstyles for FREE
  2. Remove premium tickets
  3. More accessory options besides glasses like hats (treated separately from hairstyles), bracelets/wristwatches and footwear
  4. DOA5LR style costume destruction
  5. DOA2U style collectible items
  6. More intro and victory poses (they can just recycle stuff from DOA5 and DOAD if they're lazy)
  7. Movie viewer
  8. Story mode for Rachel, Momiji and Tamaki
  9. Return non-guest characters cut from last round (Ein, Gen Fu, Leon and Alpha)
  10. Remake of Koku An (I want that snowman back :()
  11. Motion controlled boob and butt physics
  12. Remove costume parts function for unlocking costumes; just make it so we spend currency rather than have to earn parts to unlock the costume and THEN purchase
  13. More database and trivia entries
  14. The ability to zoom out when viewing characters in wardrobe
  15. Make it so that setting our main character in DOACENTRAL will be our default character in the select screen
  16. Revival costumes part of game by default

For future DOA games:
  1. Merge the DOAX game as part of the package; essentially a mini game collection within the main fighting game
  2. Irene as a playable character
  3. DOA5LR style season passes; 6-8 months worth of content rather than just 3 with free stages
  4. Stand alone story mode for characters less important to the main story
  5. Rachel and Momiji part of main cast from the start

I want all male characters and the old hags over the age of 20 removed (20 is already pushing it), and possibly also remove the fighting. Replace it with something cute and non-aggresive like singing competitions, cooking, minigame where you undress the girls and squirt whipped cream on them.
Also, I want a middle schooler and a 20 year old milf in the cast, and possibly 500 different types of pantsu, since that is a very important mechanic of DOA.
The story mode should be about how Honoka wants to be the greatest idol in the world, and then Leon comes around and slams everything into House's walls and the game deletes itself from your HDD. If you purchased the physical copy, it shoots out of your game system at the speed of light and breaks on collission of whatever it will touch.

Ok, I'll go all out and suggest reasonable things that'll never ever happen, just for kicks.

DOA6U - Rollback netcode. Get rid of artificial lag. Show if the person you're facing is using wifi or wired as well as their connection strength (if you get rejected too much, too bad, just expect it, accept it, and keep trying... what are you doing even bothering to play an FG online on wifi?). Bring back 4p Tag Mode. Double the number of stages, and have it include some popular classic stages (hell, even have people vote for which ones they should bring back). New stages should be the biggest we've seen in the series, and I don't mean just visually but the area in which you can move. More slopes and hurdles too, and maybe bring back stair/hill throws.

Release the full game with all the DLC so far from vanilla 6, character and all costumes, on a physical disc with a price tag of no more than $49.99 USD, no LE or preorder DLC. Put in Ein, Gen Fu, and Leon. All costumes beyond the first two costumes must be unlocked using coins. Any DLC after that must be added free to the game but unlockable by getting coins from playing online. The higher ranks you beat, the more coin you get. This will encourage players to keep engaged with the game as well as encourage more players to get better. You can also get coins from playing missions or completing arcade, survival, and time attack. You can also buy coins with actual money if you want. Any future DLC costumes has to be either classic character-specific costumes from past games and from an annual costume contest for all the characters. Get rid of colour swapped costumes and instead have a free costume and hair colour edit mode (tbh, I never wanted them to allow hair colour editing at all, but now they they've crossed that line already there's no going back I guess.. not with DOA6 at least).

When you select La Mariposa with her mask off, her name changes to Lisa (simple! none of that DOA5 mess). No additional VV girls. Gotta be on XSX at least, and maybe XBO if it releases sooner than later, but I'd probably get an XSX for it anyways. I guess it should be on PC too, lol. PS5, don't care, but sure. I'd like to see it on Switch too, even if it gets a visual downgrade, but it can make up for that with playable Samus. On Xbox, please make it so that if my controller batteries come lose while playing online, let the match go on and let me get beat up please, just don't make it a disconnect, dammit. The gameplay changes I want would basically make it not DOA6 anymore, like getting rid of meter entirely, so I'll leave that for DOA7 which I might post my thoughts on later.

Less imporant: get Bomb Factory to do another intro song (yes, the band is still active). It shouldn't be too much to ask TN to at least make another intro like DOA2-DOA4 using in-game visuals and fights shot at perfect angles set to Bomb Factory music. It's not like asking for the DOA2U intro's level of quality. Bring back Tina's classic blue DWA costumes. Also add all DOA++ music to the music list.

The only reboot I would like for the series is a "soft reboot" where the game is still set in the same universe by cut out every guy except Eliot and make him the protagonist and have the girls (even the guests) all fighting for him in a sort of harem dating sim.

Then add some yuri elements like making Tina, Tamaki or Nyotengu obsessed with the other girls like Katsuragi from Senran Kagura but still also be attracted to Eliot (because they think he looks like a cute girl ;)).

The gameplay would combine the base fighting mechanics but also have Xtreme style minigames and add a relationship meter indicating the cast's feelings for each other (all the girls will have their meters maxed out for Eliot).

from KT stand of view, the game should be profitable like doax in order to get a pass for production

so what it think what will happen.
1) all the participant will be transfer on an island like doax (adding gravure or mini games)
2) using the same KT engine in 6, the character model will be build is way better than 6 because profit is from costume sale.
3) all girl fg ( i hope not)
4) costume and accessories will be very expensive and limited , if no direct sales special currency will be use using a gacha model

Can't say I blame you; Cooking Mama is the shit.

There's so much wrong with DOA6 that I can't even imagine them fixing it. They can do whatever they think is right. I'll just wait until it's $20 or less before I buy it if there is no free to play version.

DOA reboot
  • Surprise me. Go crazy. Do a SC5. Do a GG Strive.

DOA needs a break so that devs can come up with something good. TN is at their best when they don't follow the rules of other fighters and with DOA6 they tried to play copy cat, and after a few months nobody wanted to play.

Here's some more stuff I wouldn't mind them adding to change the game up:



°Make a new meter mechanic like maybe a break drive for example. They could make a special break mechanic using older DOA5 mechanics like:



-Break power blow that costs a full meter and can be used by certain characters like Kasumi from their jumping stances(example: 9PS or 66PP>S). This could add a new option to certain character's strings to make opponents more wary.



-Break Drive. Take away the GB and advantage from a break blow and make it instead into an attack that costs a full meter. This could be used as a combo extender to allow the opponent to perform another bound set up to extend combo damage and wall carry, and if blocked it'll provide frame advantage at the cost of a full meter.(Example: Kasumi does 66K·S. On block it'll give her frame advantage and it tracks but it can be ducked. If used in stun it'll launch, and if used from a launch it'll cost a refloats that allows her to use 33P>H+K·P into a combo for more damage.)



-Revenge Break Art. Remove the sabaki property from Break blow and create an attack that costs 1/2 a meter that will absorb your opponent's incoming attack and if it absorbs their attack, it'll result in a counter/hi counter(depends on timing) attack that will floor the opponent. The attack however has a threshold and if the opponent exceeds 3 strikes, the attack will fail and you'll suffer a CH or hi counter since it can be thrown and low punished. They can used existing attack enders for it.(Example: use Kasumi's ending strike from 66K·P as her attack and make it's input 44P and change her old 44P's input into her 4P+K).



-Add an alternate side step attack option that instead of knocking back, could cause a gut stun or faint stun for opponents who want to play the stun game.



°Refactor tracking moves and make more universal ones that are cast bound like the change they did with characters who possess Kula's and similar character's 1P low attack types. I feel characters who have a 3K like Kasumi where it's literally hitting horizontal should track, it makes no sense how it doesn't. However characters like Kula, Mai, Christie, Eliot, etc. who's 3K are not horizontally hitting don't need it.



°Also for characters who have a 2K like Mila which is also horizontally hitting should have theirs track too, this would be great for an almost complete roster buff where virtually all characters who have 2Ks and 3Ks that hit horizontal have another way to check sidesteps since most 3Ks cause a simple stun and most 2Ks cause a trip stun that aren't usually long enough for a combo(Albeit Kasumi) but provide enough advantage to check reckless opponents. Characters who have Mai, Kula, etc. 2K type where theyre hitting vertically don't need this however as they usually have a tracking 1P.



°For break holds, remove the frame advantage for the user and make the situation at least +0. You shouldn't be rewarded +5 for using a universal hold that shuts down an opponent who is playing the stun game and is doing a good enough job that they forced you to use a GTFO hold xD

Why can't we unlock costumes the normal way lol it still takes forever

I honestly wouldn't mind a SC6 style reboot of the series, the trailer can show Kasumi (with her braid hair just like the first game) and Bayman smashing each other up on Burai Zenin (with the lower half which was mysteriously removed from 2U)
