I feel for you, but one should really manage their expectations if they're going to pick a character that debuted as a nonplayable boss in one game, was NOT in the follow up, and then only appeared as a very hidden, hard to unlock secret character - and so not played in ANY competitive official tournaments.

He's a fun character, but its hard to hold TN's feet to the fire over a DOA4 easter egg
Well, he was apparently playable in the Limited Edition of DOA2, Hardcore, 2 Ultimate, 4 and Dimensions. Took a break for one game but hey, so did Bayman.

has a point, for being competitive players you both seem to have gotten rather attached despite it causing you more harm than good it seems.pretty ironic

I actually don't really play Hitomi anymore. She's still my favorite character and I'd like to see her actually have legit tools, but I rarely pick her now because she is just shit tier. Jann Lee was my main in 2U and I've been using him mostly along side Bass and Mila.

You really don't have room to talk lmao.
Ryu is kinda silly now, yes. Is he still my favorite character to play? Yes. Do I still think he should be in the game with his current form over not being in it at all? Yes. If he was totally lame and I hated playing him, would I just pick a new character instead of whining that he should be taken out completely? Yes.

I guess this silliness is what I get for giving people a second chance. Back to the ignore list with you.

bonus: if I hated the whole damn game would I keep playing it? no

I wonder what inspired TN to give Zack this combo? (flurry of punches)

Oh yeah I forgot he was in Ultimate DOA2, but most people did.

I doubt that. He was pretty common knowledge in 2U.

I agree, usually people remember Tengu in DoA2U because he was the only character that needed to be banned from the tournaments (at the same time it's also true that this could be one of the reason for his lack of popularity/memory in DoA2U).

You know... to the people who complain about their characters.
You need to be reminded of some basic principles. In martial arts, any and EVERY move that you do has an advantage or disadvantage to it. Even as much as a step can give you an advantage in a fight (vice versa), With Team Ninja nerfing things we can't do anything about except "Learn and Adapt."

It wasn't really until DOAD when I started using :tengu: more than once and realized that he was a lot more fun to play as then I remember. He may only be an easter egg but he's definitely a DOA character people remember.
