I never even played SC and i'm already wondering on how Haohmaru turns out, he even has the parry. Curious if they are going to add more moves to him since any of the Samsho games he was from didn't really have a huge chunk of moves. They might even add new moves to compensate that drawback. Will he have access to cancellable moves? will he have the startup cancel of the twister to throw people off or to purposely make them step? will he use the bottle of Sake he has with him to chonk opponents with it or reflect projectiles?
Honestly can't wait to hear the crowd chants at tournament events on stream when he lands that super crazy one-hit heavy mystic slash (Zankousen) that does HUGE damage, literally VF's shoulder but for SNK.
According to the Kayane interview, Hoahmaru may not have the big heavy damage, especially from Zankousen, not even the fatalities. Okubo confirmed that not only he will have all of his moves from SS2019 and past games but new ones that are exclusive to Soul Calibur (knowing fans, they probably complaining that those new moves might be copied from Mitsurugi).

That makes sense. Would look weird without the big chonky damage from the attack, but SC looks to be a different case. Is SC popular in Japan? if so, get ready for those crazy JPN commentators and hype chants when that Haohmaru slash hits lol.
Not a single one of the games? How did they elude a fighting game fan like you? SC is...well, maybe rather was a great series. Similar to DOA6 SC6 is imo a lazy attempt to take players' money.

For me, SC games were at time periods where I seen commercials from back in the day and online advertisements to where I told myself that i'll get it and that it looked pretty cool (I think this was SCII for the PS2 or even SCIV for the PS3) but turns out I never did get it or any of the SC games in general lol.
Think SC is just never on my mind when it's out lol. Course it's of no way saying I don't like the series. I think it looks cool imo, the most I've ever got into it is the lore, reviews, and general game information. Other than that, never really bothered to be quite honest. Maybe if it goes on sale or something.

Man, I don't even feel like arguing but calling sc6 a lazy attempt to make money is just wrong on so many levels. Especially with how much depth the game has compared to nearly every current fighting game and they gave players back a lot of things they asked for such as good gis and good movement.
Hard disagree. There’s so much heart that was put into SCVI I just don’t see how this could even compare to doa6.
The video game industry literally spends millions to make games, so I don’t really see where you’re going with that? Like of course they’re there to make money, but PS clearly cares about their game and it clearly shows with Okubo at the heart of it.
I believe many people tend to forget the fact SCVI has two things when it comes to the criticism:
1) Bandai Namco gave the Project Soul team a smaller budget than the Tekken Team.
2) First time using the Unreal Engine (seems like people forgot about that and it's right there in front of their faces when loading up the game). It's a reason why people complain stuff like graphics or the CAS items. Tekken 7 has the same problem because those games originally had their own in-house game engine before heading over to Unreal for a cheap price.
What gives you that idea about Yun-Seong character being added in this game? Since the announcement of Season Pass 2 we only had 3 out of 4 characters were question mark characters giving you no idea who were really going to get besides Haohmaru.
Besides Hilde, there are still 2 character slots that still give you no idea who their suppose to be. The main star of SCVI Season Pass 2 Haohmaru has yet to been released, which after his release is when we start seeing the actual characters for the 2 blank slots. The real answer is seeing the rest of the cast of Season 2.
If there was a Yun-Seong for SCV, he would've gotten a successor to taking his place like Natsu (Taki), Leixia (Xianghua), Xiba (Kilik), and the main stars Patroklos & Pyrrha (Sophitia).
SCVI is a reboot which retells the original SC1 Story, their going to focus on characters that were from SC1 for the launch (with some exceptions like Hwang, Edgemaster, & Rock), along with some extras (game's launch) like characters ones who weren't included in SCV & Lost Swords (which the popularity poll might some influences for characters like 1# Talim & 8# Zazalamel who were higher than 14# Yun-Seong), adding newcomers, & traditional guest character (Geralt). So Yun-Seong wasn't going to be a priority (doesn't mean he doesn't have a chance to included in some way).

Cast of SCVI are mainly between Number 25 to 1, so Yun-Seong might have some chance (unless they pull something different for Season 2) I take it with a pinch of salt since they pick characters lower than him. The point is I would only care about whats within the 2 remaining slots, and not have too high expectations for what we wound up getting.
