What do you want for NG4?

I expect a Ninja Gaiden Zero. I'd like to see the old Ninja Gaiden enemies updated. Why? Because It's what everybody else is doing xD

Sorry, but it sounds like a prequel -- and to be honest Halo Reach was the only prequel I've ever enjoyed.

Why give Team Ninja another chance to confuse us with the stories they come up with? Developers also use prequels as an excuse to give us less content so that it makes since within the real age of the game.

And I agree with Brute completely, and he filled in my missing blanks. If NG4 isn't making me feel bad ass, Team Ninja failed me. They are finally on the right track again with RE. The story bosses suck completely, but the trials are like a big fat juicy Ninja Gaiden reunion; all the essential ninjas are here but Hayate and the challenge is a ton of fun.

With Ninja Gaiden 4 I want the complete cast of Ninja Gaiden characters, and a shit ton of trials. But they almost outdid themselves with trials this time, so I'm expecting a lot of great new things to do in trials so it's not a carbon-copy of RE.

And major props to the addition of the sub-forum. This will be awesome when NG4 is officially announced, and for Yaiba and any other Ninja Gaiden treat.

I've been playing Onimusha recently and Im wondering if NG could implement something from that series, cause for some reason it's a very addictive game.

Precuel... Not really. I'd like a "reboot" of the older NGs. You know, those before XBOX.

Adding those kind of stuffs in a NG would turn NG into another game like Onimusha or something.

That's like saying adding stealth segments would make it like Tenchu or quick weapon switches would make it like DMC,games are made from multiple aspects not just one.

That was the idea.

If you want switch-cancel play DMC/Bayonetta. If you want stealth you have MGS, Batmans, Tenchu. If you want a ninja facing hordes of "intelligent" enemies where you have to be aware of where the attacks come from and what you are doing to be able to avoid/block those attacks, you get Ninja Gaiden.

You are implying that adding any extra features already used in other games would automatically take away NG's intelegent and ruthless enemies.

My english must be so confusing. My apologies (I'm not joking/trolling or anythin funny).
I'll try again: Adding those stuff would change the way this game plays.

While I agree that adding different styles of play would certainly change the feel of Ninja Gaiden, so did the Xbox game when compared to the first game. Adding OTs and SoB also changed the feel of the game, though it was largely left the same. I think a big change would be nice so long as the traditional feel was preserved in a respectable (optional?) fashion.

If there's something in NG that prevents you from taking damage, getting guard break and/or block stun, haunting your enemies, performing safe "infinite" combos or "free-canceling" strings I'll be dissapointed soooo much (if this exists already, please teach me how to do it).
I don't really like NG3RE "dodge". I actually hate it. I like the old one by far. IMHO that thing shouldn't have survived the "remake". But the SotB mechanic is ok having that your maximum health also decreases.
I still think that NGS and NGS2 are better games*

*I haven't played XBOX NGs.

Russian-chiropractic19: So, if I want things to remain the same I should sit down and see how other people "changes" what I like and believe is the best? That's not gonna happen, sir.
I told what I wanted "new" for NG 4. A member didn't like it and I didn't ask him what was he doing, did I? He wrote what he thought and I did the same, period. Do you have a problem with me giving my opinion here? Bear with it.

Sorry for the offtopic.

if you want things to remain the same just play the old NGs god knows we have plenty of remakes of them already.

that said im going to apologize for earlier you were probably talking about the invincible helmet thing not "equipment" in general which is such a broad term it could entail anything.

Gameplay changes are welcome, but I really hope they don't try to fundamentally change the core/feel/pace of the game because frankly, I love. I have since the first time I played a NG (reboot) game. What I want from new installments is mainly more gameplay time and content. I want new weapons, new areas, new music (on par with NG1&2), new enemies, new bosses, new playable characters (mainly just Hayate), etc. If the gameplay is basically unchanged but I get all that? I'm thrilled to death.

side note: Health, block, dodge, ninpo and stun system suck in RE. They should use NG1&2 as a base, using NG1's block power (no chip damage, less guard breaks, etc.) with NG2's OTs and fluidity with input moves (not RE's overkill, hop around and be extremely unsafe all the while approach).

I was somewhat worried I'd have to come in and warn people to be respectful of each other, but it looks like the FSD Ninja Gaiden fans are a pretty damn solid group. Good shit, people.

There has never really been a truly broken tactic in any of the modern Ninja Gaiden games as all of the really solid or borderline broken strategies have either completely removed your ability to attack (Rachel in Sigma 2) or still carried enough vulnerability that there was some danger in spamming (RE Scythe 360+Strong). A lot of the best tactics involve fucking with the AI, actually, which is something that wasn't really possible to do in NG/B in any significant way. I generally dislike loops and I don't do them. Hell I didn't even use any during my Ultimate Ninja run in RE (though I definitely used True Inferno which can one shot at least one boss and makes the two spider tanks in Day 7 hilariously easy).

I'd like to see a return to Black's style of play, where mastering all of the combat systems made you feel invincible, rather than mastering all the combat systems just to stay alive and pray that the AI doesn't exploit your recovery frames. I really love Razor's Edge and it's a truly excellent NG game (where 3 was simply an alright action game and a terrible Ninja Gaiden), but there is still a lot of randomness to it that I take issue with.

Unlike some other game's community.

Agreed more than I can express.

Combine the best of NG black, NG sigma1, Ng2, NGsigma2 and bring in a tone of new weapons and all the old weapons and a decent story and you have ng4. the only thing I say bring back from RE is the SoB but dont make it so reliant. The health kits and dodge keep from NGS2. I would also say make every weapon have two different supers. One 360 charge super and one regular charge super. And keep the max level for a charge to two. Three was stupid in my opinion. A good example is a fully charged 360 super for the dual swords results what you see in Razors edge for the dual swords level three charged super, but a regular full charged super with the dual swords is what you see in Ninja gaiden sigma2 with the dual swords.
