Official DOA6 Costume Thread

Everybody is confident in their own abilities when it comes to selecting stuff that’s their own taste. In your opinion you would do a great job but in my opinion it could be a terrible one.

You are correct. but too many people ruins the food and that opinion works too with fashion and character building ! What I want is the characters nationality and personality gets shown in their outfits and also make them interesting and fashionable ! I don’t care for casual outfits . I want uniqueness and sex appeal is something I like. That doesn’t necessarily mean showing skin, but the costumes fits the character and shows them off in the best way

So Diego mariachi and Mila bailaora. Thanks, but no, thanks x'D
As someone who’s fricking tired that they represent my country with the stereotypical bailaora/sevillana and torero/matador, I agree.
The DOA team is the only one out of the most popular fighters who’s been able to make a Spanish character that doesn’t fall into an stereotype, let’s not ruin it now. I’ve had enough with Vega and Miguel (even if I love him) lol.

Can I just say I am so thankful DOA6 is using the DOA3/4 version of Leifang's red dress instead of DOA5's ( colors wise)

Why do people always have to respresent their heritage?
I’m German and Hispanic of origin but you don’t see me wear lederhosen or any typical clothing from the Caribbean islands.
Diego obviously is Mexican but why do people wanna see him wearing sombrero’s and such? I think costumes should fit the character’s personality instead of their heritage. Diego to me seems more like somebody who’s from the streets of NY than somebody who wears typical Mexican clothing.

Realistically, what number of alternate/unlockable costumes do you expect the characters to have at release? I know you have a lot of dreams and wishes, but let's be realistic, okay? ;)
I expect the girls, especially popular girls like Kasumi, Ayane and Marie Rose to have 5-6 costumes (excluding differently colored versions) and I expect the men to have 3-4 (excluding differently colored versions.)
I would be positively surprised if there are more. I wonder if they'd consider giving us more as free or paid for DLC. (I refer to old DOA5 costumes.)
I also wonder how many hairstyles they add into the game and if all men will have at least one alternate hairstyle. Having a hairstyle option that's greyed out for most of the men in DOA Central mode would suck.

I expect someone like Helena to have 5-6 costumes (not counting recolours).

Perfect list would be :
- DOA6 "default dress" C1
- DOA5 "velvet coat" C1 (removable coat in DOA Central)
- DOA4 "leather catsuit" C1 (long cloak in DOA Central)
- DOA2 "opera jacket" C1 (cheongsam in DOA Central)
- DOAD "cocktail dress" C4 (Maria locket in DOA Central)

All of this coming with classic hair bows and beehive/braids/extra long hair options.

These are her more memorable costumes in my opinion. Another casual costume would be great, or perhaps her DOA5 "CEO suit" C2.
But yeah 5 costumes is a lot to ask.

Omg how did you know?! I also sleep with a bagpipe underneath my pillow and the first thing I do when I wake up is throw a caber. ;)
In all seriousness though yeah I like Mila's and Diego's default outfits, Their Spanish and Mexican but that doesn't mean they need to have stereotyped outfits, Basically I feel their outfits fit them. :p

Anyway moving on I think it's a decent guess to say that the girls will have about 5 - 6 outfits at launch in the game and the guys 4 - 5, Not counting different coloured options. I feel like that's a perfectly reasonable amount of outfits for launch, Maybe characters like Kasumi will have more considering if you got the deluxe edition that's instantly an extra 3 outfits for Kasumi.

Yeah in fact one of my favorite things about DOA is how normal or casual the fighters are, adds a certain relatability to them. Hitomi is one of the most basic looking girls but she's a favorite of mine cause I can sorta picture her living the life they gave her if that makes sense. Guess a few exceptions being Helena's cartoonish french accent and Tina's whole American pride get up, but even then it doesn't overshadow them

jawohl meine freund! Wie tragen diese lederhosen und haben Spaß ;)
Let’s be real, Jade turns his kilts into mini skirts and goes into town like that.
All terrible jokes aside,
I believe characters like Kasumi will be around the same amount of costumes she had in 5 vanilla, maybe around the 7-10 costumes. The male cast will probably not have that many costumes, maybe like 5-6 costumes (excluding recolours). They definitely will have less costumes than the female cast but I think that’s already something generally known to the public.

I hate stereotypes, imagine how everybody would look like and act according to the stereotypes groups are given. I would be a tropical Lederhosen wearing homosexual who would act over the top feminine. Anyway, back to what you’re saying.
I don’t think Tina and Helena are that stereotyped either, Helena having a French accent kinda fits her look and personality, same with Tina. Tina obviously is a girl from the southern part of America and most of them talk like that there.

I think the guys will have 3 outfits and the girls 5-6. Considering we have yet to see any non-dlc alts for the guys I’m readying myself for the worst case scenario. Any character that got a redesign will probably get their DOA5 default back too.

I’m really curious to see how NiCO dresses, somehow I get the feeling that she dresses really flashy outside of her work attire, with a lot of black. If they give her a cutesy wardrobe like Marie and Honoka I will riot.

They literally made Diego’s favorite food tacos lol. TN really tried hard with that one, huh?

I think Diego is the only male who got a non DLC alt, I don't think people really noticed or cared back then but in the Christie trailer he's wearing a really hot jean and grey sleveeless t shirt outfit, but I don't think they added it to any of the builds since I don't recall seeing gameplay of it(which is odd since that ayane and leifang outfit are in...)
