  • Question for you KoF heads, is Geese Howard considered the answer to projectile zoning in KoF?

As for what Geese can do specifically, you need to be tossing out your 236A (not Double Repuuken). If you can predict the enemies super jump jCD attempts, you go for B Atemi, 2C, or you can go for tiger knee Shippuken, a strong air-to-air option. You can also use EX Shippuken to eat other projectiles in Max to "shield" yourself as you start the offense (otherwise, you use EX Shippuken as a mix up tool on wake up).

Again, you need to understand that there *all* characters in KOFXIV *can* stop enemy projectiles with just what is universally available to them. For move sets however, some characters have good anti-projectile options in form of their special moves or DMs. Yamazaki has 41236 + P for example. Or, you have Kyo's 236A which can "eat" projectiles and help you build meter.

    thanks for the input folks!
So, Pokemon VGC just created a ban list that removes the top 20 most used pokemon from competitive play, and no official reason was given why, that is nuts!

the suggested reason is that this is supposed to liven things up , and admitably seeing Rillaboom Togekiss Tyranitar Excadrill over and over again can get boring, but even if that's true that's a wild way to go about it, that'd be like if Capcom said "for Capcom 2021, the top 10 most used characters in tournament are banned, gl hf"

Their fault for creating shitty balance.

Well Pokemon's always been unbalanced af, and usually Mythicals are banned right out the gate (some Legendaries as well), but a straight up traditional ban list? that's new, at least for Pokemon, I know CCG/TCG do this kind of thing all the time cause of power creep and new cards coming out every year, guess Pokemon's taking a page out of their book
I'll be dammed, Hori actually made a fightpad for the Switch, I can actually play fighting games it on now!

well it does have it's fair share of ports believe it or not, as for me though this just means that I can finally play Pokken on a control that doesn't feel like butt and I have an alternative to the Gamecube controller for Smash, not sure how a Dpad is gonna translate the pressure sensitive inputs of a joystick, but hey, guess i'lll find out when I get one

@Rikuto well Switch has DBFZ, USF2, SF 30th anniversary, Samsho 2019, MK 11, Samsho NeoGeo Collection, Blazblue Tag, Central Fiction and the Neo Geo MVS games.

USF2 made me vomit inside since the point or allure of SF2 at this is the fact you can't tech throws. I know so many ways to squeeze those in plus be untouchable with reversal timing, A2As etc
was skeptical when I heard ex-Ninja Gaiden devs were working on the new Samurai Jack game, but from the second you control Jack you can really feel the Ninja Gaiden influence, 100% recommend for any NG fans
It's wild watching original DragonBall episodes, back when Goku wasn't the only character allowed to affect the plot
Welp, it's official, Master Roshi will not have a super dash in DBZF, have fun getting pinned down from fullscreen with fireballs and ki blasts

Although it looks like he'll have a super jump so he can SJ float his way in MvC style and, but that lack of super dash has me blown.

Unless his level 3 is like some projectile invulnerable move that goes fullscreen and starts up in 1 frame and does mad damage, I call trash tier (Although his level 3 is the ultimate kamehameha and his sealing super is also fullscrren so maybe there is hope)
Lol i love the T7 3.33 patch notes, 1 change for Lei, 1 change for Katarina, 1 change for Zafina, and then a fucking laundry list for Fahkumram

He was going to be addressed at some point yeah, about time it happened. Some say he's playing his own Tekken game. Leroy basically passed the ball behind him to Fahkuram like "alright, your turn to make players go crazy".

Even with nerfs Leeroy still makes players go crazy lol, but I don't think it'll be the same for Fahk. His issues were all hurtbox, pushback, and damage related and all of those took massive hits, so he definetly should be playing the same game as every1 else now, hell Pakistan might even unban him, who knows
Truly wish one day DOA games would have a single low invincible, mid air state, instead of this jump vs jump (evade low) nonsense, getting knocked out the air with lows is funny only so many times -_-

An improved freestep or neutral step is another, but yeah.

Buffing freewalk would be cool too, actually I've been playing hella doa2 millennium as of late and it's wild how you can just freewalk out of certain strings, that said there's still retracking in the game, but the reward for a successful string evasion is so high that I actually don't mind it
    Camel with 2 thumbs
    Camel with 2 thumbs
I.e successful sidewalking a string in doa2 = your opponent losing a third to half their life in a (mostly) unbreakable combo that can possibly end in a reset depending on the enviorment
Ashamed to admit how much im enjoying Them's Fightin' Herds , who knew that crossing Marvel with Ponies would be such a hit

Ah, i guess if you put it that way then yeah. I always thought people would be ashamed to be DOA players since its reputation.

Some are, I'm not, I've been a doa fan long enough that I know not all of us are a bunch of horny 14 years trying to get their rocks off on anime tiddies, so I have no qualms expressing my love for doa. Fighting herds is a different boat, on an aesthetic level it's designed to appeal to mlp fans

While I don't have qualms with the mlp fanbase, I have no desire to be associated with that crowd, 'specially the brony side, so I'll keep enjoying fighting herds, from the shadows, and if any ask why I got the old "but the gameplay is fun!" Locked in the chamber
So, Roshi huh? hopefully Arcsys learned their lesson and wont make him into another Videl i.e deprive him of a universal mechanic because it's not "realistic"
    ChaolanLegacy
    ChaolanLegacy
Fun fact, DBZ games have been doing this for a long time now: Videl didn't have ki blast attacks in the Budokai and Budokai Tenkaichi games, her supers were melee based, she also can't vanish to the back of her opponents in Budokai games, she has a roll move instead as her "vanish", meaning that she's going to get hit bad if someone sends her flying, Hercule for instance starts off with only 2 ki bars
    ChaolanLegacy
    ChaolanLegacy
compared to Videl's 3. DBZ games character-wise are designed in a way that it reflects the character's abilities and capabilities that they had in the manga/anime, apparently DBZF is no different, if Hercule would be added, he wouldn't be able to reflect stuff either then. You don't have to worry about Roshi though. He'll be able to do everything the same way most of the cast does I feel.

lol i legit think they ran out of Gokus to add, the only ones remaining are super sayain god goku and Turles, fingers crossed we don't ever see them

As for Videl an co. being regular, if that's how they wanna do it, that's fine, but at least give them something in return, her dodge is worthless, just have saiyaman reflect for her!
oh wow, they added the classic UMK3 costumes for Jade, Kitana, and Skarlet, naisu
    Camel with 2 thumbs
    Camel with 2 thumbs
would prefer the MK9 costumes but considering that was back when Kitana looked more Indian than East Asian and Skarlet was even more risque that her UMK3 counter part, that's probably never going to happen, but a man can dream
Name characters who can hit 130 or more dmg CH combos midscreen without meter or environmental factors

Bayman can. Requires max stun threshold so he can double bound with P+K into 9P, then P+K again into a ground throw. And requires the ground throw actually connect on the second part for max damage of course.

    But it can be done.
    Rikuto
    Rikuto
Interestingly, these double bounds that occur off of max stun threshold somewhat replace the critical burst from 5 in respect to damage potential. Some characters retain a fairly high open space damage potential as a result of this, and some just don't all the tools necessary to maximize damage and get a full double bound. So what was a universal offensive tree in 5 is now more character specific.
    XZero264
    XZero264
Mila. Almost any combo into juggled P+K to Ground Throw Mount Punches will do it but all 3 Ps have to hit.
Glad I jumped back in DBZF after they got rid of snapbacks, that crap was so dumb, like SF4 before they introduced delayed get up levels of dumb, if anyone remembers those dark times
