I'm just as trash at VF now as I was 3 years ago when VF5US came out, but so are many other ppl, and frankly the only time it's fun to be bad at a fighting game is when you have many other players to be bad with you lol
Witcher fans mad that their new protag is woman
Naughty Dog fans mad that their new protag is a woman and *gasp* bald
Ass Creed fans mad their new protags are a woman and *double gasp* a black man
Dam, thought we were getting some Elden Ring DLC, instead it's just some new co-op randomizer mode thing,,,oh well, more excuses to hang out in the lands between is always appreciated
"This anime takes place in Ancient Greece, why the hell are there ninja cat girls and gothic lolitas?" when you start asking yourself questions like this it might be time to drop the whole anime thing and start watching documentaries or something :/
apparently, there was an Avatar the last Airbender fighting game that just got cancelled, that would have been cool to see but I'm more surprised that Avatar is popular enough to get games even now
what kind of world do we live in where a fighting game can sell 4M units in a year, but its publisher goes "not good enough, pull the plug", no wonder everything is going live service/mobile, since those are the only kind of numbers these publishers want to see
This is probably caused by the fact that i'm DOA-pilled but I hurt my sides laughing whenever SF players complain about throw loops, because despite that franchise being old as dirt there is still no answer for getting neutral thrown in the corner over and over and over again
turns out the VF5REVO is NOT just a straight up re-release, it will include a balance patch (first one in 13 years!), certain gameplay aspects will be modified to be easier (no specifics given), and the possible return of some classic moves (Wolf Stunner making a comeback?)
Half Life is celebrating it's 20th anniversary with a massive sale on Steam, check it out if you've never played, and then join the rest of us in wondering where the hell is Half Life 3
Here I was thinking that DOA2 was the game with the highest amount of dead launchers (ie launchers with too much recovery that make it impossible to follow up) but then I remembered that tag mode exists, where you can effectively cancel a move's bad recovery with a well timed tag in, opening the door for all kinds of interactions, my mind is blown
watching early 2000's EVO top 8's is such a trip, no commentary, no player cam, no crowd noise, just top players knocking the mess out each other for glory and nothing else, since payouts weren't even a thing until 2006 lol
