    NGB2 patch notes are out, that's a phrase I never thought I'd say :/

    and yeah, they're lowering enemy HP and increasing enemy counts, granted they're only doing it on a couple chapters but it's still a step in the right direction, kudos Team Ninja

    As much as I want Sonic Blitz to be a Sonic themed 3D fighting game, this shit has "arena fighter" written all over it, which isn't immediately a bad thing, it could be dumb mindless fun like Sparking Zero or a legit FG experience like Kill la Kill IF, guess we'll just have to wait

    I don't know if Sega would follow the anime fighter trend (God I hope not). But man, Sonic needs a new fighting game because we have all of these new characters, including the IDW cast thanks to loose canon, with these abilities but not put into some good use.

    it would be nice to see the massive Sonic roster be adapted into a game where their differences aren't just aesthetic, gimme a fighting game that takes advantage of their uniqueness

    Sonic could be the command dash mix up archtype
    Knuckles could be your typical bruiser
    Tails would be the fly/unfly character
    Silver could be slow but zoner heavy
    Cream would be a puppet character

    and the list goes on!

    Good ideas! We can expand them: Sonic is speedy mix ups but balanced, Tails is similar to your idea but also trap-based, Cream has *GASP* healing, Silver is basically KOF Athena with more psychic counters.

    question: is there any character in DOA6 who has a standing move that can put them in Jump (evade low ) status in 6 frames or faster? need it for testing

    I said it for NG3/RE and i'll say it for NGB2, why the eff is there a guide button in this game? the levels are linear as shit, who the hell is getting so lost to the point where TN felt the need to add a "go here dumbass" button. what happened to "When in doubt, look to the color blue for the path", that was an elegant solution that worked just fine!

    Ikr, its very obvious where to go next in these games, sometimes the environment change points out where you should be going next, or at least thats what I would say but then I remember the "climb the ladder to find the Resident Evil" meme and that people like DSP do exist (and the large majority of the people who play these games might be like him).

    The two Life is Strange's featuring Chloe (LiS 1 & Before the Storm) are the best. The other 3 afterwards just couldn't seem to hit the same highs. What I wouldn't give for LiS 1 with LiS: Double Exposure's graphics...

    I only completed the first one, I played like, an hour of LiS 2, and little bit of the one that starred Alex Chen, I frankly didn't know Double Exposure existed until this post lol

    I’ve played and beat all the games. For the most part I enjoyed all of them…except double exposure lol. That game is not worth the $50. Do yourself a favor and just YouTube a playthrough of it if you’re curious of the story. Not worth the money or time to play it.

    actually considering that the game will still be available for offline/local play after the shutdown this kinda makes sense, but its still baffling

    I honestly have enjoyed my time with the game since joining when Jack was released. It's sad to see it go as I honestly felt the game is overall well balanced and has done a lot to step outside of the "Smash clone" mold.

    The entirety of this game will be something that'll be discussed and analyzed for years to come. Literally throwing money at the wall type of deal while it could've actually stood beside the Smash series in greatness, ah well, it is what it is.

    They really should marketed NGB2 as Sigma 2: Definitive Edition or something, calling it Black 2 is kind of deceiving, especially when you dig into the files and realize this game is literally Sigma 2 with UE5 graphics laying on top of it

    I played Power Instinct before the age of 10, so it's never been a weird thought to me, and I honestly thought the Gouketsuju sisters were pretty badass. There's something cool about "wise old martial arts master who's physicality has defied age", it's just that it's usually male instead of female for some reason. Give any character an interesting kit and ppl someone will play them, at least competitively.

    But then it's not just "old" women that are absent from FGs but "older" women in general. 95% are below the age of 30, and even when they do age past 30 they still look like they're in their 20s. Timeskips never have enough backbone to do it (even explain it away through story, like some condition keeping them young), as if they couldn't do it in an appealing way or something.

    that sux, I have alot of folks and friends who came here legally and fall under the category of "naturalized aliens", so on paper they should be fine, but the way these ICE raids are going that distinction might not mean a whole lot :/

    So, Yakumo and Ryu, I wonder if their relationship will start off as antagonistic but then they become friendly rivals by the end of the Ninja Gaiden 4, that would be such a new and novel concept for Platinum Games :eek:

    on the other hand, I feel like Platinum Games design philosophy and what Ninja Gaiden is don't really mesh well, so the result is going to be a standard Platinum Games game, but with a NG coat of paint on it, which frankly sounds better than 98% of what's out there, I just fear that NG's identity and feel might get lost in the shuffle, but i'll wait and see before I pass that judgement

    While PlatinumGames isn't in its best form in this day and age and as you said, the gameplay of the games the team developed makes me think that working on Ninja Gaiden won't work out insanely well, Bloober, a team that wasn't known for their smash hits were the ones who developed the Silent Hill 2 remake, so, there's still a chance that NG4 will be really good and PlatGames comes back on the map as a result.

    Some of Platinum Games key members left so it's pretty understandable to be skeptical.

    Definitely still better than nothing in my opinion.

    anyone here remember when VF5 (vanilla) had personalized intros that were super flashy and had your characters doing weird and funny gestures in customizable outfits? been searching the internet for footage of this and I've found nothing, but I know this was a real thing :/

    "if you're not hype for Ragebound then you're a not real NG fan, you're just a 3D era fanboy" is a strangely common take i've been seeing; I think the lack of hype stems more from the fact that we haven't had a new mainline NG game in 13 years and ppl were expecting something more substantial after all this time :/

    So far I'm not even sure if it'd satisfy the 2D era NG itch... it just looks way more like other indie NG-inspired games. If they had come out with a true NG4 rather than an outsourced spinoff, 2D or 3D, that would have been way more hype. But as far 13 years since the last 3D NG, I don't think Ragebound's development would have any bearing on the development of a new game from TN anyways.

    Seeing how Capcom did Terry dirty in SF6 makes me appreciate how TN has 0 problems with making guest characters OP, yeah we've gotten some duds like Nao and Tamaki, but Spartan and the VF characters? oh my guudness...

    oh I wasn't referencing any particular doujin fighter, I was just referencing the general struggle getting doujin fighters to run properly

    although the latest doujin fighter I've played is Haruhi Grappler which certainly is not ass, although it was a bitch to get up and running lol
