Project EVE's design is problematic, from the early 2000s, and we are past that. Made me chuckle because that was the exact same take people had for DOA.

Just realized that the years where people demanded FGs change and anything less would be unacceptable were the years where only anime FGs were being released/announced. Not during the Tekken/SC6/DOA6 era or now with KOF. Just 2019 & 2020. Funny how that works. I wonder why that is?

Uh Oh. Less characters then the previous game, reused assets, and DLCs announced 6 months before release. Here comes the people who complained about those very same things in other games lining up to explain why it's now ok for KOF to do it.
Seeing KOF discussions and holy hell, how is it possible to STILL kiss ass that much? KOF's copy paste characters, animations, and now UI are extremely demanding and requires so much work but GGST and GBVS are low effort and easy to make. Why does KOF people love kissing ass so much? Even GGST and GBVS didn't have this.

People using Sonic as a measuring stick for FGs looks pretty legit now. He's really strong in DOA, SG, MK, and now GGST. But, he has little showings for Tekken, SF, BB, and older GG. Games that are considered harder, have more competition, or both. What an embarrassing state GG is in now lmao.
The Sonic vs GG is hilarious. If he comes into your game and dominates when he was never able to in the older games, you know there's something wrong with your game. GGST is now a DOA, SG, MK tier game lmao.
Seeing how consistent 2D fighting game players are at hit confirming is just impressive. That skill alone is already more impressive than anything in the 3D fighter realm when you consider the speed of everything.
Now... Where TF is the NEW DOA Fighting GAME? TN should have collected enough data by now and know how to not fuck up DOA.
Focusing only on 2D fighters for what feels like an eternity made me realize that Tekken is considered hard the same way VF is considered hard. Just word of mouth and people stroking themselves while telling themselves they are playing the most difficult game ever.

The best part of my FSD experience was seeing exactly when the tone shifted lmao. Agree with FSD's (DOA5-LR) takes and bash other games = positive reception. DOA6 hits and I start to not go along with every claim (e.g. too many lolis, lightning,) and not bash every game entirely (GGST, GBVS) = negative reception. The shift is hilarious.
